  Service lacking

  It was next to impossible to get a hold of anyone. Phone number was left on office. But rarely answered. There was no spare toilet paper roll and no way to get another, except to go buy your own... Very poor service for price. After staying here previously, we were very disappointed. Not likely to be back in a hurry.

  Great Location but need an update

  We first stayed here when our kids were little in the early 90s Now we are grandparents. The location is excellent, just perfect for walking to the park or around the fishpen, to shops and restaurants. The unit is comfortable and has a well equipped kitchen. However it is very tired and in need of a refurb. The courtyard needs a make over. There was an outdoor table and chairs that needed a good clean and there was no umbrella to put up so you could enjoy the outdoor area. There is also a smaller courtyard off the bedrooms which also needs a makeover. No outdoor furniture to enjoy the area and the garden was very unkept. The bathroom needs a complete upgrade as it has not changed since 1990 when we first stayed there. The office is unmanned with a phone number to contact management which is easier said than done. While we enjoyed our time in Merimbula, Penguin Mews could do with some tender loving care to make it the perfect location for families and couples wanting to enjoy the best of Merimbula. Its the little touches that make a difference and Penguin Mews lacks these.

  Fantastic location

  Location is great right in the heart of town. Place needs a face lift. Quite dated but clean and tidy. Apartments are comfy and are equipped with all the basics. Not noisy at all considering how close the main street is.

  No hand towels ,no hand soap ,no internet,no Foxtel (others in town have )wont be coming back as basic as it gets ,not worth the money ,how anyone can let a place run down and expect to be comfortable,beyond me

  Don't know what the place is like(!)

  Made a booking and paid in full for 4 nights over Xmas 2020 at $150 a night plus fees. Then got an message from owner saying sorry we made a mistake on the price which should've been $370 a night but we could have it for $280. Wut? Anyway they cancelled the booking after we insisted on them honouring the original price.
