    Gone Downhill :-(

Sorry to say has gone downhill, cottages need some decent maintenance and improvements. We had no power for periods and no hot water at other times - then generator noise. Broken Couch and dining chairs, grotty bathrooms and spas you would want to soak in. Disappointing when it has a great location & beautiful scenery

    Rustic

We wanted a log fire and animals - we got both. The cabins are basic and basically clean. The main bedroom was fine but the room with bunks did have an unusual aroma, I sprayed the room with our Eucalyptus spray and that helped. There was an issue with power to the units and the generator was quite noisy, but it was only used for a few hours during the day. Our daughter loved getting carrots and feeding the animals: many times a day. We had a lovely walk to the Gloucester Tree (which I climbed) from the cabin. An easy walk which even young children or elderly could do. The owners were friendly and we did get a cheaper rate due to the issue with the power. An absolute highlight was a strawberry farm worker going out of his way to get us some of the most amazing strawberries we have ever eaten! We treated this trip like we were camping and we enjoyed ourselves - and I really enjoyed my spa when we got home :)

    Appalling professionalism

We booked then phoned a few days later to ask a Q only to find out they had cancelled our booking with no notification, leaving 2 families with kids now searching for accomodation 6 days out. They argued that it is a one night stay minimum however the website states a $30 charge for one night stays, the site also allowed us to book. They also said they had emailed notifying us of the cancelation immediately after the booking, however we did receive an email. Perhaps a phone call could have been better!! By pure luck we had phoned to ask about the fire place two days later and they had already re-booked the accomodation so we therefore were not even offered to stay for 2 nights before cancelling on us. (Sounds to us as if they had a better offer so cancelled our stay). Disgusting way to treat two families.

    Weekend stay

Good location but the whole place seems to be a little run down. Good to stay with dogs. Its located in part of farm and bushland. Close to town and Pemberton attractions. The hot water system can last only for 1 person and kitchen are really need to upgrade with the hot plate as existing are not practical and with only 1 power point you can use only 1 appliance.

    Misleading

Tonight is our second and final night here. Thank god. We have stayed in plenty of farm stays but this isnt a farm stay. Its basically a caravanless caravan park. The chalets are caravan park style cabins. Small and basic and close together. Animals? A donkey and a pony that you cant go say hi to other than along the fence (we had no luck getting them to come to the fence). We are all wondering what do they even farm here? Grass?? The whole place is run down and looks like a dump. The cabins are decent enough but not for the price. Itscwhat you would get for $80 at a caravan park. Spa? If youre game enough to bathe in the dark brown water (from the dirty rainwater tank) you get an extra burst of gross when you turn on the jets - swarms of dead mosquitos being pumped into your already gross water! I had a spa again today thinking maybe the first one cleaned out the jets but it did it again! I understand rainwater is ok to be tinged but this water is the colour of kole beer or half and half coke and water. Its wrong AF! The last farm stay we stayed at was in Walpole and they were lovely, they visited us each day to ensure we were travelling ok, they offered to light the fire for us, they had loads of animals that roamed freely for us to interact with. The cottage we were in was a proper stand alone cottage far from our neighbours. Was a few weeks ago and we paid half the price of this dump! Dont. Please dont. Lastly, there are signs all over the kitchen saying what not to do etc which is fine in itself but they are written very unprofessionally with an aggressive tone and leave a very sour taste in your mouth. Do not recommend unless your only requirement is a place to sleep.
