ViejecitoMuchos contrastes. Hotel con muchos años y un lavado de cara, limpio y la atención muy buena. El desayuno normal tirando a flojo. Piscina grande pero rodeado de edificios viejos. Lejos del aeropuerto casi una hora, pero muy cerquita de la playa.

Good location..grand accomadationThere is a wide range of accommodation in Phuket. This hotel is ideally located within steps of Bangla Street and the shopping malls but its location on a small side street / cul da sac makes it an oasis of peace and quiet. Check in was excellent and the foyer is quite impressive...free snacks and drinks during the day. The rooms are tired and over due upgrading but they were clean ( and ours ) spacious and comfortable...we were kindly given a free upgrade on check in. There is two swimming pools. The main one on the ground floor has a bar and food service with different happy hours but sun beds can be at a premium. A strange observation but the pool toilets are 5 star. The second pool is smaller and located on the third floor. During our visit we only ever seen one other couple use this so it was like a small private pool. Breakfast was impressive and well worth taking time over. If the rooms were upgraded this would easily rate 5 stars as it is it suited use and we would use again.

BED BUGS. Worst hotel stay Ive ever had.I checked into the Patong Heritage and was shocked by the standard of what is listed on booking.com as a 4 star hotel. I have travelled south east Asia extensively, both in my role as cabin crew and as a tourist and so am familiar with the fact that many hotels in the region are more than a little lenient with their star ratings however, this barely met 2 star standards. It is tatty and poorly outfitted. I should have assumed this would be the case given the price of the property but the (strategically taken) pictures and star rating convinced me to go ahead with the booking. Upon checking in, I shared the lift up to my floor with a man and the prostitute he was bringing back with him that afternoon. Theres even an additional overnight guest policy openly advertised at the front desk. I am well aware of what goes on in Thailand but again, absolutely not what one expects to be seemingly welcomed by a 4 star establishment. I emailed booking.com immediately upon check in to ask what could be done about arranging a refund as I felt the property had been falsely advertised. They promptly emailed the hotel to ask if this would be possible but unsurprisingly, the hotel refused. I decided to make the most of a bad situation and continue with my stay but upon waking after the second night to find that my back had been bitten raw by bed bugs (room 602) I had absolutely had enough. I informed the front desk that I would be checking out immediately and that I would require a refund for the remainder of my planned stay. The girls on the front desk, although very sweet and willing to help throughout my short stay, do not speak English to an appropriate service standard for a hotel that welcomes international guests. When I asked to speak to a manager they did not understand. I had to repeat this request using various synonyms until one of the ladies pointed at a man who appeared to be ending his shift. His name was Sanchai (forgive me if this is spelled incorrectly). I tried to explain the bed bug issue to Sanchai but he clearly did not fully understand, or care. His only response was that he would send housekeeping to clean the room. I explained that there was absolutely nothing housekeeping could do to eradicate an infestation of bed bugs and that I wanted the remainder of my stay refunded as minimal compensation. The only word he seemed to understand implicitly was refund to which the aggressive response was 100% pay in full no refund [sic]. The level and nature of his response leads me to believe that this is something that is requested on a frequent basis. When I asked for his name to include as part of my complaint he began yelling Will call immigration, Thai police, give tourist red card now, you go back your country now [sic] repeatedly. This was witnessed by multiple other guests in the foyer. Never in my life have I experienced such unprofessional, inappropriate and disrespectful behaviour from anyone working in a customer facing role. This, added to the embarrassment by the fact that Id stayed somewhere so unsanitary, ruined my stay in Phuket. It left me feeling humiliated and honestly quite scared as a solo female traveller. Furthermore, this is absolutely not how I would imagine any establishment, no matter their star rating, would expect their guests to be treated. Having since trawled through numerous terrible reviews on trip advisor (not booking.com) it seems that I am not the only guest to have been treated in such an appalling manner. I strongly recommend that Sanchai be removed from this position, he discredits not only the hotel but the entire service profession. The hotel itself should be fumigated, if not condemned. I ,of course, had to personally cover the cost of laundering and sanitising all personal items that had come into contact with the room to prevent cross contamination of bed bugs. I also had to spend the remainder of my holiday in considerably pain and discomfort due to the severity of the bites on my back. Needless to say, I left the hotel prior to my designated check out date and instead checked into X2 Vibe Phuket Patong which was truly outstanding and I would I recommend it to absolutely anyone. This is a hotel fully deserving of its 4 star status. The monetary difference between the two properties was £12.50 per night. As for booking.com, once the booking has been made and theyve taken their commission they really do wash their hands of all fiscal responsibility. I say this as a long-standing genius member. I appreciate that they are offering a third party service but since the payment is taken via their site I would expect more accountability for properties they are actively advertising. At the very least, I would I expect a basic level of vetting to be in place for all properties listed. Based upon recent bookings and the way booking.com has failed to deal with the issues arising from these, I feel that unfortunately the company may have grown too big too fast and quality and customer care have declined in the pursuit of profit.

AveragePool area is nice, however the rooms didnt seem as nice as in the pictures. There were small cockroaches in our bathroom and the bed was broken when we arrived. However staff was nice and came and replaced it straight away. In a great location and close to everything. But overall I wouldnt stay here again, I think you can get nicer hotel rooms in the same price range.
