  Comfy and Affordable

  Stayed here for 2 nights. (First night at the 5th floor, 2nd night at the 2nd floor) We found it hard to find at first but the location is not bad, 15 minute walk from the shopping mall, and there's a nearby family mart, food carts and small massage parlours. Bed was big and comfortable, AC works fine, but the remote control of the TV was broken. I asked the HK staff to replace it but he said they cannot. (Which is weird. maybe she just dont understand what i said) Wifi was a bit slow. Toiletries, Kettle, Coffee and Teas was provided in the room. Request for a higher room if you're planning to stay here. The room on the 2nd floor was a bit low ceiling. It nearly touches the head of my 5'11 boyfriend. All in all : Satisfied.

  Checked out early and left!

  We stayed here for 2 nights (was meant to be 3) however we checked out early and left without our money. This was mainly due to the fact we did not like it in Patong, the area is very rough and not what we were looking for! Wish we would have researched better before staying in this part of Phuket. However the hotel itself did not help. The staff were unfriendly and made us feel uncomfortable when we wanted to order some food and told us it was offensive to order fries. We were all for trying the Thai food however we had read on other reviews someone had got food poisoning from the hotel restaurant so we didnt want to risk it! With the room we had booked for 4 people, one of the beds was a small camp bed put in so dont think the room was made for 4 people. The safe in our room did not work, the bathroom smelt really bad of sewerage. We had to go to the shop to buy air freshener it was that bad coming Into the room. The WiFi was also terrible and didnt work in the rooms at all. I also didnt receive a towel when I arrived and when I asked at reception they pointed to one on a table in the restaurant to take which didnt seem clean. Overall this hotel was very poor and not as advertised as a boutique hotel.

  Friendly and understanding staff

  On the contrary to some of the reviews, we find that the staff of Patong City Hometel to be very friendly and accommodating even when we had to cut short our stay (nothing to do with the hotel). The rooms were clean and tidy, and while we had stayed in better hotel rooms before, for the price we paid, the hotel was very good value for money. Walking distance to the beaches, shopping mall, restaurants, and cheap (clean) massage just next door! On a final note, we booked through Agoda and found that the customer service was also extremely helpful when we had to change our itinerary due to some special situation at home.

  The location is a little off, but overall not a bad place to stay

  I booked the place almost at a last minute before leaving for Thailand. So, I was a little surprised to see that this is the only place that offered the cheapest price at such a short notice, as compared to other hotels of its category. When I reached there, I realised it must be because of the location. It is right at the end of a small lane with a dead end, that also has a couple of backpacker hostels and some not-so-expensive massage parlours by the side. The night hotel receptionist was a bit rude, I felt, in the way she asked for our passports, the way she gave the keys (as if she did us a favour). But when I met her again on the day of check out, she seemed to be in a better mood. Lol! The receptionist who works during the day was quite helpful and friendly though. She The rooms are cleaned daily. I just felt that the breakfast that they serve for an additional 180 baht per person (we booked a room without breakfast), is a bit too steep for what they serve. We just got normal bread, butter, coffee, eggs and ham... something many other hotels serve for free within the cost we bore for a room without breakky. Allthough I might not go back to this place again if I revisit Phuket, but no regrets having stayed here for three days.

  Great place with great service

  We had booked this place almost a week before our travel. We had booked it for 4 days and it turned out to be a great decision. Pure value for money deal. We met the owner of the place and he was extremely helpful throughout our stay. The staff was great and helpful. Rooms were neat and tidy. Daily room services Change of sheets, towels, shampoos, soaps, etc. The owner was highly helpful and helped us to plan trips around the place and packages. It is a must visit place for first timers specifically. Also for value for money travellers.
