Not worth the money, even for simplicityStayed for a night in July and because I had been pleased by the location (only 1.5 or 2 km away from the bus station) as well as the prospect of hot water for a budget traveler. Water was lukewarm at best and the pool did not look hospitable. The staff were in a rush and pretty inattentive always despite the low season and the breakfast was ingenerous even for a given hotel meal. Bedding was clean but old and the floor of my room was straight up dirty. There are other places in Ranong I could have stayed for less money and been more satisfied. Disappointing.

lovely resort in ranongI stay in Pathu resort for a night on my way to Phuket. Hotel is clean and friendly staffs. We couldn't believe we pay that cheap price for a good room like this. Breakfast is great. I would like to be back there again.

Room was fine, but staff was unfriendly.I and my friends stayed for 2 nights. Room and breakfast were consistent with the price. Beds were old. My friends found it was hard to sleep, but no problem for me. Breakfast was almost okay. Not many choices of food. Cleanliness was averaging. Location was fine. But receptionist was unfriendly. He was kinda moody all the time.

Absolutely terribleAs a family of two adults aussie male, Thai wife and one 11 yr old daughter living in Phuket Thailand we have travelled extensively thoughout Thailand staying at Hotels, Motels and Bungalows. Always treated fairly. Be aware this Hotel is fraudulent and a rip off. Pay for small room. 1100 bht. Pay again for extra child. 100 bt. Pay again for extra sleeping stuff. 150 bt. Find out following day there are plenty of rooms. Family room with extra bed. No extra cost.Only 2 vouchers for breakfast. Pay for extra breakfast. 150 bt. Thenthey recommended a place called "The Farm". Bad service and bad attitude by staff. Wrong meals, late orders. Find out later owned by same family. Found out all these things too late, the following day The two other families were were travelling with also got ripped off. Pissed off.

Prettiest setting for very reasonable priceMy room, though dated, was comfortable, the a/c worked well, the bed was big and the mattress fine. Even the pillows were a little better than average for a lot of places in Thailand. Wifi was a little weak, but i managed to keep up with email and the news from around the world. Didn't turn on the t.v. set so can't comment. Small fridge with for-pay drinks etc. but had extra room for a few of my own items. My only real knock was the lighting in the bathroom. Was over the shower, not the sink, so i missed a few spots shaving. The included breakfast was minimal but tasty and enough to start the day. (People should't really complain about included breakfasts. If you want the full-meal deal, order off the menu!) Coffee was hot and strong - perked me up to start the day. The best selling feature about this place is it's wonderful garden-setting. Ranong isn't the most happening place in Thailand, so a couple of hours around the pool or sitting on the balcony taking in the gardens is just fine by me. I'd go back again if in Ranong. The lady behind the front desk was very accommodating but didn't speak a lot of english, but we managed to get our mutual needs communicated.
