Cheaper than an Uber home.We live in bayside Melbourne and were invited to a function at a friend's place in Kew only 100 metres from the Pathfinder. I did the sums and figured that it would be cheaper for us to crash at the motel rather than pay in total possibly $140-150 in Uber fares given we would have been travelling home at midnight on a Saturday night. So for $110 it was a simpler and cheaper option. I have stayed there many years ago for another function at the same place but could not remember it too well. I think we have to be honest and say this is not a place that you would choose for a holiday or extended visit to Melbourne. As I say it was simply a place to crash and avoid booze busses and exorbitant Uber fares. It is very tired, probably 1960s vintage given the besser block construction. It has adequate free parking and a pool better suited to fish farming. Check in was pleasant enough and we were advised of the free continental breakfast. We did not avail ourselves of this as we opted to have a full breakfast on the way home with real coffee. The room was basic but clean and a comfortable bed. It had tea making facilities, aircon that rattled and rolled and a bar heater in the bathroom. Adequate hot water and amenities. It had two bibles and one copy had the "Leviticus" pages torn out so somebody had issues with its stories of law and rituals, or sought extra guidance? Sitting neatly next to the bibles was a pack of three condoms? My guess is you may be able to rent the room by the hour?? Although our room and little balcony overlooked a busy intersection it was not too noisy after midnight. So, as mentioned, it was a cheap place to crash overnight and bug out early next day.

Too noisy for us.Ok rooms but really noisy. Maybe a room that didnt face over the intersection / tramline would be ok? I wouldnt stay here again. Price was good but no chance of quality sleep. Thanks but not for us here.

Safe and cheapWe just spent the night here to attend a function in Camberwell. Close to tram. Room was clean, lovely old Gumtree outside our balcony. Better than we expected for the cheap rate. Of course it could do with a bit of TLC, but if you pay 105 for a night you don't expect to be somewhere flash. We found it quaint, oddly charming and the room was pretty quiet once you closed the balcony door considering the Burke Rd traffic is very constant. We would stay here again.

Budget Motel Showing Its AgeI chose the motel purely for its location. It was only a couple of hundred metres from where I was working for several days. It was cheap, the staff were friendly and accommodating and the bed was surprisingly comfortable and the sheets and pillowcases clean and crisp. There was a microwave in the room. It met my needs for work, otherwise I wouldn't have stayed. It is very, very tired. I don't think its seen a new coat of paint for a long time. The sofa was old and stained, like the carpet. The tv was temperamental and some channels (about half didn't work - no ABC and many had voice but no picture). Wifi was quite weak and dropped in and out. Having read the reviews I wasnt surprised by what I saw when I opened the door to my room.

No wordsIts taken me so long to post this review. Quickly booked online as was the closest accommodation to Epworth in Camberwell. Someone had used the toilet, cobwebs everywhere, absolutely filthy, honestly dont know how this place is allowed to remain open. Cockroaches, blu tack used to hold back curtains, I stood on a towel to shower, to avoid the broken tiles. I didnt expect high end for $140 per night, but clean at least, would have been nice. I did discuss the state of the room with the manager. Sorry about the cockroach. For your own health and safety STAY AWAY! The picture displayed was something behind my bed.
