Not set up for overnight guests. We were excited to find an authentic organic farm to visit in turkey near Dalaman when we flew in on our way to the coast of Turkey last week. It proved to be a disappointment, however. First, it was VERY difficult to find. when we finally arrived there was noone in the "office" to greet us, no note or info to tell us where to go or what to do. After walking around for awhile we ran into a few other "guests" who were not very friendly-most are staying for a week or so for various workshops. These were all 9-10 year old kids. Our" 2 bedroom bungalow on the river" did not include hot water and was spartan to say the least. No alcohol-

Friendly atmosphere, unique, and naturally beautiful in an ideal location.I volunteered at Pastoral Vadi for 2 weeks in August 2010. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and would highly recommend it as a place to volunteer or vacation. I am 23 years old, and it seems guests of all ages (kids to older adults) enjoyed their time at Pastoral Vadi. As a volunteer, I worked about six hours a day, six days a week in exchange for a room and 3 meals a day. A unique place, it's not your typical hotel. It feels like a community, but it's also easy to enjoy your own privacy. I stayed in a bungalow (though usually volunteers stay in another building), and can say they are simple, comfortable, and eco-friendly. The grounds are beautiful. There are lovely places to read or reflect alongside a mountain-fed creek, an especially nice treat during the summer heat. The open kitchen feels like it could belong to your best friend, as guests, volunteers, and staff can talk leisurely, enjoy authentic Turkish food cooked using traditional wood-burning methods, and exchange ideas of where to visit next. This brings me to my next point, Pastoral Vadi is located near many places of interest, including Fethiye, Xanthos Valley, Olundeniz Beach, Butterfly Valley, Saklikent, and more. They are easily accessible by car or dolmus (mini bus that stops 3km from Pastoral Vadi's doorstep). If you'd like to learn more about Turkish culture, feel like you've traveled "off the beaten track," experience a working, organic farm, try delicious Turkish cuisine, make new friends, or relax in a natural setting, Pastoral Vadi is a must for you. Do bring bug spray during the summer, your bathing suit for the creek, pool, or nearby beaches (beautiful, calm, warm, surrounded by fragrant forests, and not crowded at all!), a good book, and an appetite. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

little paradisei absolutely love this place!!!!!!!! it feels like a little paradise. I stayed as a volunteer. The location is superb. small wooden houses, lots of unique rest places built by the architect owner of the place. Like one over the river .... another high up in the trees. The place is in a forest, with a swimming pool. Eating area is a open bungalow. Guests will mingle with volunteers and take part in lots of activities, like making Turkish noodles or tomato paste or picking okra. There are yoga courses. Absolutely outstanding location. you need a car or a good pair of legs, about 25 mins. walk or easy hitch-hike to the nearest bus station.

HeavenI stayed there during a retreat and it is totally amazing! So beautiful so peaceful, people in the pastoral vadi are so sweet... Its a perfect place to escape from our modern life into a small natural piece of heaven, we even got engaged in some farming activity it was awesome! There are alot of places to just sit there and relax and enjoy the river or lay on a hammock swing and contemplate the stay in cottages are adorable they were just not cleaned everyday and the food is not very tasty but who cares in such a lovely place, ull still enjoy all the beauty it has!

41.000 m2 farm has not 1 pot to give for baby.We arrived to the farm on 9th of January. We informed ahead that we would be staying with a 2 month old baby. They gave us a room on ground floor. Ice cold room with ice cold ceramic floor. They couldn't transfer us to the upper room which had wood floor and would have been warmer for the baby. Ok. I guess. But then, the big surprise. There was no hot water! They said there would be hot water during night but at 3 am there was only cold water. I asked for a pot to heat water on the wooden stove. For the babys nappy change. They said they didn't have any. I saw many pots in the Kitchen... I told Mr. Nihat "there are some pots here" his reply was "those are special jam pots i use". So whole day i was going to Kitchen and asking hot water in a jug when the bathroom of our room had an electrical heater installed! They just didnt wanna open the electric heater. Neither give me a pot to heat up my own water. This is pretty mean and cruel. Where is your hospitality sense Pastoral Farm?? It wasn't a cheap stay either. 300 tl for a night of shivering and dirty nappy baby.. thanks!
