  Many Happy returns

  It is always a pleasure to return to this well run and well appointed hotel. Once again the catering was first class and the overall presentation is very good. Staff are uniformally friendly but professional, even though many seem to be students or trainees. Our waiter who has now been there some years seemed able to remember guests preferences from one day to the next and to anticipate when you wanted service - that is a rare skill indeed. The cold buffet at dinner is a meal in itself and the breakfast is generous and well served. As I have stayed here before and reviewed the hotel before I have little to add, but I offer this review on my latest stay to reassure that standards are maintained.

  Wow

  Such a lovely experience. Everything was on point right from check-in to check out. The kitchen was good and the free bike ride . I will surely repeat this experience, anytime. Don't forget to smile back, they do smile alot

  Amazing Regeneration Spot!

  Even I have been at this wonderful hotel for a short visit I have been recharged with energy form the outstanding view of my room! Hotel has a perfect location for a regenerating vacation! Both sides of the hotel have a beautiful breathtaking view to the lake! Rooms were renovated and very comfortable! Staff very professional, great asset to the hotel! Strongly recommend it for whatever your request can be! Parkhotel has SPA, conference rooms and Children playground! So you can go there as a couple, family or even Business event!

  Best in Portschach with children

  Positives: We were 2 families with 2 nearly 2 year olds. We enjoyed our stay very much except the food part during lunch and dinner. We reserved rooms 120 and 320. -free conoe -The gardens are huge, enough space to run around for kids. Sandbox, 2 playgrounds designed perfectly for kids, -a good size indoor pool with huge windows and a garden entrance. -A fully equipped gym -private grass beach with sun beds and with umbrellas and a wooden dock -spa facilities -restaurant at the lobby (bring your masks) and a palm restaurant that is currently closed - good cheese selection at the restaurant. High chairs for kids available. - we were able to purchase (after some convincing) pasta and meat for the way home for kids. - separate car parking available. You need to first stop by the reception to get a ticket since its a paid parking open to public from my understanding. Its cost free to hotel visitors. Rooms we had (120 and 320) ( lake view suit ) have -2 separate rooms for kids and parents with 2 different balconies with lake view. My daughters room had a panoramic view as ours had more of a playground view with a bit of lake view over the trees. I would have designed the rooms the other way around. - kids bed size was pretty good but there were no barriers for her not to fall down. Luckily we brought her bed barrier with us. -2 separate bathrooms (1 without toilet with 2 Sinks and 1 bath-tub) (1 with toilet with 1 sink and 1 big size walk-in shower and a separate place to wash up after using toilet) - 2 wardrobes, enough for heavy packers like myself. - a safe - small empty fridge - slippers, bathrobes, towels, 2 hairdryers - a separate extra elevator but at the mezzanine floors (a few steps) going directly to the pool area) -towels for beach, pool. Warning: bring long pants and elegant dresses since it is the norm for dinner. You arent allowed with shorts or flip flops inside the restaurant for dinner. I took my toddlers travel potty, step for the sink (which I also used for giving bath) and she was happy. We gave the bathroom with 2 sinks to her and it was big enough for her to use that bathroom. There is a (paid-entrance) beach separate from the hotel which we found better for kids. Also if you follow the road going around the hotel, there are many shops, cafes, hotels and it was a good walk. Try the ice-cream at the end of the road across the ferry stop. It was amazing. Overall experience was good, we enjoyed it. Negatives : At check-in, the lady was not able to find our booking via booking.com but then went in and sorted that out after I gave my confirmation number and showed her my booking through the app on my phone. We had to wait. Choice of food at dinner and extra lunch were not great. Palm restaurant was closed due to pandemic. No childcare offered due to pandemic. Some restaurant staff who were collecting empty plates tried to educate us on how to put our forks and knives so it means we are done with our food. Given that we were trying to feed 2 , 2 year olds - it was irritating at that point. Also 2 evenings we had to wait a lot for our food to arrive. Seemed like half of the staff were new. There were no healthy choices for kids. Only pasta/ tortellini with veggy stuffing and schnitzel with French fries. (Being used to Mediterranean cuisine, it didnt impress me and it wasnt international) Many couldnt speak English, luckily we found couple of staff able to speak it and we were able to speak a little German and luckily Turkish (Thanks to one restaurant staff at the restaurant who came to help us when he understood we were struggling. That was nice of him). Restrooms are not close by to the restaurant, rather downstairs. Those with little toddlers might find it easier to go up to their own room instead of rushing to the restrooms downstairs.

  Great place to relax

  This is a wonderful hotel & spa to fully relax and regenerate. I have also read this in other reviews and fully agree. The views are great from the rooms, with almost all rooms having a terrace and an amazing view on the lake. There are two sides of the lake by the way. This is a hotel with a good spa and indoor pool for colder days even in summer. This is very hard to find on the Woerthersee. There is also a small gym. We used their tennis courts, and the good thing is that you'll always get a court without a reservation. Staff is extremely friendly. Our room was not prepared for the third person and we got a free upgrade to the stunning family suite. Breakfast buffet has a good selection and the restaurant also has lake view. The beach area is very nice with comfy sun beds, a lounge area and all kind of water sports. It's all hidden from the tourist path. I certainly will visit again and use all their amenities.
