  Worst Place EVER, DO NOT GO HERE!

  Terrible, terrible place! Worst place I have been to in my life! The area is really dodgy and far from the city center. You wouldnt go for a walk after dark, and definitely wouldnt go with public transport after dark. The place is full with trash, outside the hotel and INSIDE. The wallpaper is falling off the walls, there is carpet throughout the hotel which is full of stains and mould and leaves a bad unhealthy smell. You wouldnt go here as a couple, let alone with a family. Trust me, your better off sleeping underneath a bridge in the city! If this is all you can afford, stay at home. The hotel room was terrible, everything was falling apart! The bed was terrible, the mould on the walls, mould on the shower. The showerfloor was black from the mould and even the tiles!! The white between the tiles was BLACK. It was very unhealthy to stay here so we left immediately after seeing this horror show! This place should be closed due to health and safety reasons!! Not at all as what it looks like on the pictures. People also smoke in the hotel. Probably to mask the nasty mould smell..

  Worst hotel imaginable AVOID

  I have never flatly refused to stop in a hotel, until I entered Park View Residences. We booked it for a night out, as a place to rest our heads for a couple of hours, and when we do that, it doesn't matter if a room is basic, so long as it's clean. This was far from that. The whole hotel is dingy, grubby, and stained, with an awful smell of damp and mould throughout. Our room did not have a bathroom in it, but a private bathroom with a separate security code; Not ideal. The lock refused to work at first which didn't inspire much confidence, and on entering the bathroom, I immediately felt dirty, and refused to use it. It was covered in mould, the walls were peeling and bubbling with damp, and there were bloody fingerprints on one wall. Unfortunately my partner took photos of that room and I didn't, but I will submit them at a later date. All the carpets were sticky and stained throughout. Our room had carpet stains, cracked walls and surfaces, snot stains on one wall, and worst of all, crispy white stains on the bedding which can only be down to ejaculate. I was horrified. The area was pretty rough and run down too, and the hotel reeked of both cigarette smoke and cannabis; I'm not sure whether the staff were allowing smoking, or whether it was pouring in from outside. As such, we left our things in the room for a couple of hours while we went to the party, but ultimately my partner elected not to drink, we cut the evening short, and drove back home to Cumbria rather than spend any time in the hotel. It seriously needs condemning.

  Worst hotel and room made me feel sick.

  The man on reception greeted us and was very polite. That is the only positive I can mention. I wasn't expecting this to be luxury due to the price but the photos we saw of this before booking (hotel's own) showed a beautiful, clean room. The photos we saw upon booking were nothing like the room we got. The stairs and hallways are riffy and dirty. The room itself made me feel sick and really uncomfortable. The carpet was dirty and stained. I walked around in black tights and, after walking into bathroom and bedroom, my black tights were covered in blonde hairs (not mine). There was dust under the radiator. The wardrobe was not secure and nearly fell when I opened it. The room was freezing as there were windows open. The radiator didn't work but there was a portable one which gave off some warmth. The worst thing was the bed. I could see marks through the sheet. When I checked, there were blood stains on the mattress and it was yellow. My boyfriend spoke to reception about this and they said the only thing they could do was give us another sheet to put on the bed. No other room was offered. If we could have found another hotel at such short notice, we would. Dirty and disgusted. Do not be fooled by the pictures. I would never stay here again. How this place is still open is beyone me.

  Worst hotel ever

  Never been to a place so filthy. The room hadn't been cleaned, the sheets were dirty and the room in general had mold and spiderwebs, crumbs on the floor and stains on the wall. We took an entire afternoon to clean (in the best way that we could) the room, since we had to stay there for a week.. we took many pictures, because it was unbelievable

  Absolutely Terrible

  This was the worst hotel experience I have had in my life, and Ive stayed in a lot of hotels. We checked in late after a gig around 11.15pm. The first room they gave us was at the very top of the building so we carried our bags up the narrow hallway (Im pregnant so not an easy feat) then when we finally opened the door to the room we were met with an unmade dirty bed that had clearly been slept in, used towel on the floor by the bed, used coffee cup and dirty unclean bathroom. Went back down to ground floor and explained the situation to the man at reception who was just about to leave, he apologised and gave us a different room. Up the stairs we go again, open the door to a new room and we are met with the overwhelming smell of marijuana and cigarette smoke. Carpets stained and not hoovered. Bathroom mouldy. Mattress was lumpy and felt the springs in it. Horrible. The receptionist had gone so we had no choice but to sleep here. Worst night sleep as bed sheets stank of cigarette smoke. I would never stay here again if they paid me. Very rough area felt intimidated walking down the street. Do. Not. Stay. Here.
