Lovely settingThis hotel is set in a wooded area on a beautiful beach. It has the complete package offering private beach, swimming pool, tennis court and wooded walks. It also offers bike hire and with access through the woods or dedicated cycle lane, to a number of beaches and further, if adventurous. The building is set on a large site, with the interior being plain but very clean. There is a large reception and bar area. We had a standard room, which was adequate with plenty of storage space, reasonable size bathroom, and comfortable bed. The room seemed to be well insulated against noise from other rooms. The restaurant is in a separate building a very short but pleasant walk in the grounds. Breakfast had a plentiful offering, largely Continental style along with scrambled egg, bacon and boiled egg.. Also lots of nice cakes! Evening meal had a good buffet of starters followed by 2 Italian standard courses and then a dessert buffet. The standard of the food was good on the whole. The swimming pool was a 25m one with a depth of 5ft. There is also a small children's pool. Next to the pool is a small, but well equipped, gym. Access to the beach bar and beach was a few steps away. The beach bar was a very pleasant area but had a limited menu for lunch but did very fresh sandwiches or salad. A walk along the beach brings you to other places for lunch. We hired a car from Cecina and travelled there to collect it by train, cost 3.50 euros and then another 3.50 after return. Somewhat cheaper than 70 euros that the hire car company wanted for delivery and collection from the hotel. Within a short drive there are lots of lovely hillside villages/towns to visit. The hotel is a good 35 minute walk from the town and station, along the main road. Whilst we were there, there was no shuttle bus running. Access to the train station made it easy to make a trip to Pisa. The hotel is friendly and whilst we were there in May, very peaceful and relaxing, It offers a good base from which to discover the area by bike or car.

And relax! If you ever need to switch off, relax and regenerate, this is a great option. After a short, painless flight from the UK we were transferred in a top of the range Mercedes, that cradled us all the way to San Vincenzo. The hotel is set in mature woodland, alive with birdsong and short woodland paths. The beach is steps away, with all conveniences (clean toilets, shower etc) and close access to the snack bar for refreshments. The sunbeds and parasol are allocated for your stay, so no hunting around. The pool is wooded. peaceful and shady (for naps) but with full sun for the tanners. Dining is spacious and quiet, with two courses buffet style and two served. Breakfast is buffet. Good organisation meant no queues or mad rush for food - everything was most civilised. The 'snack bar' (elegant shady area with fab views and great service) is a great spot to relax with a perfect cocktail and watch the sun go down and, most importantly, plays quiet generally acceptable music. How many holidays have been ruined by loud drum and bass echoing across the resort? The whole area is wheelchair accessible, offering discreet independence to wheelchair users. I LOVED it here and will definitely return. If I were forced to offer a slight criticism, I would say I thought the main meals were rather underseasoned; the quality was good though. If you need to relax, unwind and de-stress, this is your holiday.

nice autumn 5 day break breakfast and evening mealVery clean pleasant hotel, trees alongside surround the buildings. Green, well tended gardens. Nice areas in shade and sun ,no fighting for space to relax. 30 mins walk to town. Quite isolated location, A burger king up the road to the right. You can hire bikes and cars. Countryside pretty. Spotless comfy room. No extra costs for safe, beach towels etc. Drying rail for swim stuff. You get allocated a sunbed on the beach with brolley and sunbeds a few yards from the hotel pool/bar to the sand. . Beach area very clean and safe, shallow sea. Lovely sand. Bliss. Staff helpful, lovely smile each day from one of the waiters Saed which we really appreciated . A bit of a language barriers at times but staff tried hard with us! Any issues we asked about were swiftly addressed. Menu varied through the stay. Buffet breakfast - cakes, nice bread , fruit, yogurt, cheese, meats salad plus scrambled eggs and sausage or bacon. Evening meal buffet starter and sweet plus at breakfast you select 2 other courses each from a choice of 4.One day it was more of a buffet/BBQ evening.. Buffet needs labels of what dishes contain, husband disliked not being able to avoid nuts and fish as unclear at times. I generally enjoyed the food. Would stay again happily but.if we had a car I think husband would have found it a better stay. Main negative is the mosquito bites- if they like you stay on the beach and away from the grounds and pool as even smothered in jungle mosquito lotion we still got attacked!

Lovely hotel in beautiful groundsA beautiful hotel set in wooded grounds of five acres. Our room was clean and tidy. A safe and a hairdryer were available in the room but no kettle. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. Dinner was waiter served and very good. It was difficult if you were vegetarian because there were no details of the ingredients in the meals. The grounds are lovely leading down to the sea. Each room has an allotted umbrella and bed on the beach, The swimming pool is a good size and cleaned everyday. The pool bar overlooking the sea is lovely, One word of warning there are many mosquitoes around both day and night so precautions need to be taken. The staff are very helpful.

Perfect LocationThis is a very Italian hotel in a pine forest at the beach. The rooms are a bit dated, the staff friendly. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is good, the beach perfect for long walks. At night it is very quiet. If you love nature, this is a good place. Enough parking spaces.
