  Reception Surly, Air-con broken, Pool a health hazard! Avoid!

  Stayed one night only here and with the exception of the restaurant the experience was terrible. The food WAS good and the staff in the restaurant (particularly the older gentleman waiter) were good and knowledgeable. Given that the pool and outside areas were so filthy I did wonder about the kitchen but we were tired after a long day and couldnt bear to find somewhere else to eat. We arrived with no knowledge of the hotel and asked to see the room before we checked in. The receptionist showed us a room which was ok a bit weary but clean looking - and then checked us into another which we thought was odd. She kept our passports rather than a photocopy and was generally quite surly with us. She did have some English, which some people might find helpful. The room we were given looked reasonable though it had an awful bedspread which we shoved in the cupboard . I put the air-con on but after 10 mins it was clearly broken as it was doing nothing except blowing the hot air about so we called reception for a room change. The same person came up very defensive, brusque and rude, there was nothing wrong with the air con she insisted it worked. It did not. We told her we wanted a room change to one with air-con (even a suite) or we would leave. She then said she would sort it out so we waited another 15 mins. Nothing. We called again. Yes she said, there was a problem which is now fixed - it should be on now -give it 15 minutes more. After 5, when it did seem a bit cooler, we decided to avail ourselves of the beautiful pool we had seen from a distance which had tempted us to stay there in the first place. We changed into our swimwear and we went down for a swim. This was the worst maintained pool I have ever seen. The sides were slimy with fronds of green algae waving about, there was rubbish in it which no-one had bothered to fish out and the decorative waterfall area near to the pool was nothing more than a slimy sludge of drinks bottles, discarded wrappers and detritus which clearly had been there for weeks. Needless to say we did not feel able to use this pool! Back in the room it was cooler. Not cool but bearable. We were exhausted now so gave up on it, had an excellent meal and got an early night. The room got hotter and hotter, we were able to open the window a crack without the air-con going off though it should have done. We drank loads of water, packed up and left early in the morning after a good breakfast in the restaurant again served by the older gentleman. On leaving we were asked if we had a pleasant stay by the same person we had complained to indeed the ONLY person we saw other than restaurant staff. We told her our complaints again but she wasnt really interested I expect she always asked but didnt act on anything. Dont bother with this hotel. We certainly wont!

  Had been to this hotle a few times not to bad a bit out of town staff just ok could be better i travle with a group, rooms clean and food ok would not stay in this hotle if it was just a couple ,

  park hotle celano san marco in lamis itlay

  Just back from my stay in park hotle celano very bad food not good poor staff service very bad very few about it their were 26 in a group for 4 days never seen any body come in, it is a nice hotle be not for a holiday ,

  Una grata sorpresa!

  Nos hospedamos el 28/Feb pasado sin reserva. Muy buena relación precio-calidad. Nos sorprendió un hotel tan grande y en una zona de pueblos pequeños. Cuenta con estacionamiento privado, se pueden visitar bonitos lugares desde allí (Monte Sant Angelo por ejemplo). El restaurant muy bueno, la pizza es imperdible!!!

  Excellent hotel with very friendly staff

  We stayed in Park Hotel Celano just one night and everything from check in to check out next morning was amazing. It is a good value for money. Breakfast was good and hotel has very friendly staff who explained everything about room and hotel. I highly recommend this place for your next stay
