Wonderful little gem with exceptional serviceWe stayed here for a week of great skiing in Livigno, family of 4. This place got close to our hearts mainly thanks to the incredibly nice and friendly staff that truly did their outmost to make us feel like family. Thank you so much! The food is great, beds comfy and views amazing! We loved coming back to our ( steaming hot!) room after a day of skiing and indulge in the 4 course set menu. Actually only the antipasti buffet is enough to fill you up! Great little ski rental downstairs with good deals for real top notch racing skis. Again with wonderful, patient and smiling service The place is charming and with lots of character and rough around the edges. Don't expect a posh place. Sometimes the elevator broke or the sink didn't work.. ah who cares?! For us it was the perfect stay and just the break we needed. We'll be back!

Combination of good and badGood: Location - right at the bottom of a (black) slope just a few meters from the ski lift and ski pass purchase point. Shuttle bus stops in front of the hotel. Great ski rental/service shop. Pretty good size pool (not heated). Bathrobes. O.K. service. Finger food served before dinner in the bar area to go with themed (different every evening) before-dinner drinks. Good WiFi. Room with balcony and view of Livigno. Not so good: Very dated rooms and bathrooms. Could not open the window just a little - had open the door to the balcony or nothing. Bad: Food. Breakfast: Juice - terrible, watery, especially if your'e not early. Scrambled eggs - watery. Jams - hard to squeeze out of containers, frequently so low that it was impossible to squeeze any. Coffee - all bad unless you order cappuccino. Not enough fresh fruit. Dinner: not quite soup kitchen style, but really not good. Elevator very small and SLOW!

Great expectations, ruined holidayYou think that going to Italy means style, good food and friendly people? You are completely wrong: hotel Pare is the place where we faced a hostile manager, dated furniture that sometimes broke under our normal weight, not working elevator, dated or broken utilities in the bathroom. About food? Horror. Pasta al dente? perhaps somewhere else. The lasagna, the Carbonara, Canelloni, were all too soft, as those made of fast food frozen meals. Same for gnocchi. Sauces, soups seemed to be prepared out of concentrates. The not consumed food from the day before seemed to be present in the next day salads or appetizers. The goulash soup had ginger taste and also contained paprika and zucchini, maybe those offered the previous day. The so-called American coffee had no taste at all, only color of coffee and the breakfast juice was available only one hour, while afterwards became more and more diluted. Although we claimed to the manager, nothing improved, and we had to leave a day earlier. As we dared to ask a compensation for our sufferings, the manager accused us of blackmail. Take care: all reviews and reported returning clients of 80% were due to the old management of the hotel, no longer present starting with 2018. On top of this, the hotel advertises 4 stars on walls of the rooms, on the hotel walls, while it was underrated to 3 stars and it offers 2 stars conditions actually. So, be careful, skiing is wonderful, hospitality may ruin your holiday!

If your are Vegetarian BRING YOUR OWN FOODThe rooms are very dated and in desperate need of of decorating. Evening Meals have to be ordered in the morning and as a vegetarian I went Hungry. Every day I wrote on the menu That I was a vegetarian and ate No Fish or Eggs and they made me a TUNA SALAD Most evenings I had to make do with the salad Bar.. Not good when you have been skiing all day. One night they presented my Evening meal Of reheated chips from lunch and Tinned Vegetables. As someone from an Italian Back ground I am utterly DISGUSTED with the food this chef sent out to me considering an abundance of Italian food is naturally Vegetarian. A quick pasta dish isn't difficult to make....... I won't be returning here again. The rest of my party of 10 were utterly Shocked at my treatment and vowel no to return either The location of the Hotel is good pretty but we had to take a bus every day to the slopes
