  El Hotel se encuentra en la zona de ISCHIA PONTE, se debe ir en microtaxi o bus des Ischia PORTO. Más o menos a unos 10 minutos en bus, hay parada delante pero pasan cada hora. HOTEL: Está todo bien, pero no tiene aire acondicionado, hay ventiladores. La reserva lo hice por la pagina de ITWG y no tuve ningun problema: el pago se hizo en el hotel directamente. HABITACIONES estan muy bien y amplias, todas ellas tienen una pequeña terraza. Todas las habitaciones estan una al lado de otra, pues aprovechan las terrazas de la montaña. Tienen piscinas (3) , una de ellas cubierta PERFECTO. El personal es muy amable aunque no hablen español. RESTAURANTE PERFECTO! Se come muy bien, productos variados y comida tipica italiana, pasta! Los camareros muy amables y muy simpaticos, los mejores! El turismo de esta isla es todo nacional italiano y aleman. Para moverse por la isla se puede hacer por BUS, una targeta de 7 dias cuesta unos 15 euros para hacer viajes ilimitados , y sino siempre te queda la opcion de un microtaxi o alquilar una moto.

  Wonderful staff

  Great hotel, rooms are basic in furnishings and decor but sucruplously clean. Bus stop immediately outside hotel. Staff are all fantastic, really friendly and helpful. Fabulous view from pool terrace. Main pool is a great area to cool off and relax. Evening meal great value. Single traveller, had a fabulous time, never once felt vulnerable or uncomfortable.

  Bella vista living the dolce vita

  With the stunning outlook to the ancient Aragonese castle you sure know that youre not in Kansas anymore. Such a beautiful outlook, a deliciously deep pool and I even thrashed my old bones on the clay tennis court with a mate pretending it was Nadal vs Federer (more like the two old boys in the Muppets). We did find the rooms a bit basic but jeez, you dont want to spend your holiday in here do you? Love all the old bougainvillea surrounding the hotel on different levels and our surprise was, the really good meal we had there, a fabulously simple pasta al pomodoro with bruschetta was one of the best meals weve had in Italy. As a tip the restaurant just up the road, the Giardino, is really fabulous and a visit to the Castello is a must..

  Top class service made our holiday

  Hotel Parco Cartaromana far exceeded our expectations. The views were stunning, the rooms were very clean and authentic italian, the communication was excellent but the thing that pits Cartaromana above the rest is the service. Every single member of staff is superb. There was nothing we came up with that they didn't have a solution for, nothing was too much trouble. We mentioned on the first day that we weren't wowed by our room and asked if there were alternatives. They didn't hesitate in moving us to a secluded, private balcony room with a unique sea view at no extra charge. We had some pretty dodgy weather while we were in Ischia and spent a lot more time in the hotel than anticipated. The staff absolutely made it. Top class people. The only thing that lets Cartaromana down is the food. At lunchtime there only seemed to be a bar snacks option and the quality was quite poor. We had dinner there once and it was average and the breakfast was just ok. A lot of sweet pastries - typically italian admittedly - and basic ham. On the other hand, the fresh orange juice option was lovely and I was impressed at how good the scrambled egg was. Its worth being aware that the hotel is at the top of a steep hill and whilst there is a bus stop literally right outside the hotel the buses are hourly ish - they don't seem to stick to the timetable - We ended up walking back and forth a lot which was fine but started to lack appeal on the fourth trudge in the rain. Probably much more pleasant in the sun shine! We did also get badly bitten during our stay which we didn't previously when we came to Ischia - could be the time of year and the thunderstorms. Either way bring insect repellant and good bite cream to be on the safe side! Overall we would definitely recommend Cartaromana for a friendly, relaxed, authentic italian stay.

  Hidden gem!

  We booked at Parco Cartaromana last minute after deciding to not visit Naples. We certainly did not regret our choice! The room was basic, but clean and perfect for a few nights stay and the views were incredible. The hotel has a very laid back atmosphere, which seems to resinate throughout the lovely little island. Only a short (but steep) walk to restaurants and bars by the sea. Breakfast was continental and mainly cold options- except for scrambled egg. Would highly recommend for a chilled out getaway, would love to return and explore the rest of the island.
