  Wonderful Staff

  We stopped in to see if there were any last minute availability. Our 1st room was garden level - very quiet and comfortable. However, the next night we moved to a second floor ocean view. With the private balcony this made for a very special experience. The staff was very knowledgeable regarding nearby attractions and spent a lot of time working with us to plan our days. The hotel has a great poolside bar and offers a wonderful complimentary breakfast. Also very convenient to the beach and other dining options.

  A hidden oasis in Crete

  Great atmosphere, food and people. The rooms are neat and clean as well as the common spaces. Amazing breakfast and dinner buffet, with a big number of choices of high standards. Overall a highly recommended!

  Gorgeous Hotel

  When you look for the hotel on google maps it says simple hotel . This is not true. Modern facilities, great private pools. We bookd the Junior Suite with private pool and ocean view. We didnt regret the higher price. 28qm room, absolutely clean, nice bathroom. A bit too many german TV channels. However. Helpfull and friendly staff. Food is good and enough. Served as buffet in the morning and in the evening. Even when you leave early or arrive late. Food is served when u need it. Would definitely come back again. Disadvantage: its a bit far away from everything. I recommend to rent a car to explore the island

  wonderful hotel

  a great family run hotel. A lovely selection of rooms from basic to luxury. Great staff team. Good food and service. Pool area was good and easy walk into town along the sea front. Great attention to detail in maintaining the hotel and it's lovely grounds.Only downside: too many smokers allowed to smoke everywhere and anywhere!

  Amazing holiday!

  We booked a last-minute holiday in October and were so glad that we did! The Irini Mare is a fantastic hotel, set in lovely grounds and only a couple of minutes walk from the beach. The rooms are great and very clean, and all the members of staff were really friendly and helpful. The pool areas were gorgeous and also very well kept. We dont usually opt for half board, but it was included as part of the package and we were really surprised by how good and authentic the food was! The beach was nice and very quiet due to it being end of season. There were a number of beach bars and tavernas to choose from as well as a useful mini mart. If you keep walking along the promenade (5-10 mins or so), you will eventually arrive in the main town which has some more lovely tavernas, shops selling Cretan gifts and a larger supermarket. There is also a small amphitheatre and monument to Icarus. We had an amazing holiday and would love to return to the Irini Mare one day. It is a great location to hire a car and go and explore even more of beautiful Crete. Highly recommended!
