  Clean, comfortable, good check in

  We had a short break and enjoyed the pool area, nice temperature, looked over the canal. Room was clean and quiet, close to Surfers, easy off street parking fir higher vehicles. Check in was easy, had a nice overnight stay.

  Complete Sham

  My partner and I were meant to stay here so we could pick up his kids for Christmas. We live in Sydney, and they live across the border in Queensland. Right before we were supposed to come, the Queensland government closed the borders. We called Paradise Island to inquire about refunds, but they stated only someone who lived in a designated hotspot would get a full refund, and at this time it was only the Northern Beaches. The very next day, Queensland designated all of greater Sydney a hotspot, yet Paradise Island refuses to give us a full refund. This contradiction is absolutely unacceptable, and Paradise Island should be ashamed of fleecing their potential guests out of money for reasons they can't control. Do not stay here. They will take your money and never give it back.

  Good value with great location and lovely pool.

  I stayed in a garden view studio apartment with my teenager. We found the apartment a good size with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The biggest positive points are the pool - it is a good size with areas/depths for all ages overlooking the river. Location - 400m to beach, 200m to tram and walking distance to Cavill ave. It is close to everything but very quiet and peaceful. It is a 3 star hotel and good value for money. Sure, there are things that could be better or updated but not at this price point. I checked in after hours and the process was easy. Just a phone call to give my details and the caretaker came out and gave us our room key. Checkout was straightforward too. I found the staff friendly and helpful. I did see demanding people being abusive towards the reception and they handle the situation well and professionally. I think some people want Palazzo Versace facilities at Paradise island resort prices. I think some apartments are privately owned and this might be why people can have such different experiences with their rooms/stay.

  Location is the only good thing

  Went for the weekend with friends and booked two adjoining rooms, were assured on the phone that we definitely had rooms next to each other. When we arrived to check in were informed that we were NOT next to each other but were on separate floors and there was nothing they could do about it as they were fully booked. The unit was NOT clean had cockroaches crawling around. patches on wall had not been sanded & painted. carpet was dirty, not well maintained at all. Moldy air-con.Lounge room fan to noisy to use, bedroom light not working, lamps had no bulbs in them. Website is totally misleading, there is no restaurant, no kids play area I don't know what room they used for the website but it definitely wasn't the one we were given. There is noway that they are Covid Safe in the room we had. At least the sheets looked clean. First time visitors that won't be back

  Great location

  Booked a studio river view room. Had minimal views though, due to being on ground floor. Still ok though. Room was everything we needed for a two night stay. Although couldve been a little more cleaner, with a lot of dirty marks on the room walls & the balcony floor/door needing a good clean/sweep/mop. The small fridge & tea/coffee making facilities in the room came in very handy. The location in the heart of Surfers was super convenient, within walking distance to everything close by. We would stay here again.
