  Comfortable with a Convenient Location

  I had a room on the 7th floor which was spacious, comfortable and clean. The temperature was perfect so I didn't have to use the heater and have it blowing on and off all night. Hot water was plentiful. The complimentary hot breakfast was scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, pancakes, and fried potatoes with tea or coffee. I needed transportation to the airport in the morning, and I was given a taxi voucher to use free of charge. I would stay here again.

  Stayed one night before and after our vacation to mexico.

  Clean and friendly at a acceptable price with free breakfast thrown in for good measure as well as free shuttle service to the airport. No disappointments. Another bonus was leaving our vehicle without charge for the duration.

  Dirty and Run Down

  I believe some parts of the hotel are renovated. We did not see these parts. Our first room stunk and the bathroom had hair all over the floor. We immediately told the front desk and were promptly moved to another room (accross the hall). This one was possibly worse. These rooms have not seen a good clean in decades and everything looked straight out of the 80's. I don't imagine they've touched it since. Filthy old carpets that hadn't been vacuumed, chipped stained and falling apart furniture and fixtures, dirty wallpaper that was tearing and falling off, an old old heater radiator thing that was pumping out heat even though it was turned off and set to cold.....stuff of nightmares. We had to sleep with the window open in December to try and combat the heat and smell. We wouldn't have stayed if it wasn't for the fact that it was late at night and we had been driving all day and were exhausted. Avoid at all costs.

  Disappointed

  I have stayed there a few times before. Those visits were good. The breakfast was good. This time the price was higher by 20. Also no breakfast. I had stayed at the Best Western a few days ago. Price was 30 less and they had a great breakfast.

  You can do better for the price....

  The good: Bed was clean, carpets not bad, comfy pillows. had a good night sleep (almost). Breakfast was ok, they had scrambled eggs, bacon, roasted potatoes, pancakes, cereal. coffee. the bad: Room was freezing when i first got in, AC was cranked to max. No wall controls so you have no idea what the room temp is. went to adjust the AC dial and soaked my socks - the carpet was soaked around the ac unit - guessing from condensation because it was set to max for so long. Toilet had dried pee on the seat - so right off the bat I know the cleaning staff are not doing their job. Also toilet stinks of dried urine. eew. I'm an insomniac, so getting sleep in a hotel is hard enough. I finally drifted off to sleep around 2:30 am, and was planning to sleep until 9:30, but noise from cleaning staff starting around 7am (guessing) kept me up, missing critical sleep. Got back to room, tried to make myself a coffee - someone had pre-filled the coffee machine with water....strange. so i had to unplug it and take to sink to dump and rinse out. Then i filled one cup and loaded machine, press start. well i dont know where all the extra water came from but the cup kept filling to overflowing - somehow there was still an extra half cup - 3/4 cup of water.....had to mop up the mess that almost reached my laptop - mopped up with towel......tried again, resulting finally in a cup of coffee. Shouldn't the housekeeping staff be checking the coffee machine is empty and ready to use?
