CRT The...CRT The hotel entrance with Tibetan style. Roman size is normal and there is a small space for tea taste. In the room you could find all the things you need even the laundry detergent. The restaurant offer diversification dishes in breakfast. However, if the shower room could be much cleaner that would be a plus. By the way the building just looks old.

Beautiful hotelHotel it only 15mins drive from central. Large and spacious public areas leading to Stunning pool area surrounded by tropical plants trees and birds. he area is covered by a huge glass roof. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable all with large screen TV. Mini bar. Hairdryer. Kettles.and dehumidifiers. Several types of room both European style and Tibetan. Staff lovely can't do enough to help though many do not speak English there is always one member that does around reception area. Breakfast is good but waitresses remove plates very quickly so don't leave table for too long.... Buffet style. Nearby there is apparently a small supermarket though I did not use it. Taxis are inexpensive to get to Centre approx 40yuan. Just love this hotel.

Paradise not reallyan large and typical Chinese hotel, in the middle of mass construction. No English is spoken and newspapers are at least two weeks old. This hotel has seen better days; I know there are far better rooms than the one I was allocated; paint chipped, dark with old amenities but it was clean Breakfast was fine but nothing outstanding and I am accustomed to Chinese cuisine. Stayed two nights, not much choice in this frontier town of Shangri-la

When in Shangri-La...I spent the night of May 23, 2018 at the Paradise Hotel. I found the hotel to be impressive for China: clean, luxurious & well appointed (albeit tiny bathroom & no bathtub shower only). A unique design, with rooms around a central multi-level courtyard & pool, it felt like one was staying in a prestigious Chinese hotel. Staff were very courteous and efficient. I stayed in room 1421, featuring a king size bed, small bathroom & small desk. All towels, linens & pillows were of good quality. I found my room to be very quiet & comfortable. My room rate included the breakfast buffet in their restaurant (sorry, but no Western food options were available & the buffet was average at best). Overall, I have nothing but good things to say about the Paradise Hotel. I give it a score of 5 out of 5. I highly recommend the Paradise Hotel if you are in Shangri-La and looking to stay in a nice hotel that will be comfortable for Westerners.

Chinese/Tbetan style with good facilitiesLarge Chinese style hotel with Tibetan style rooms, well meaning efforts to be more international. Lack of spoken English by most staff was not a problem. Some decor trying to evoke Lost Horizon was a bit kitsch. Interesting room lay out overlooking the huge lobby.
