RIP off... but a bed for the night!Unfortunately we got caught in the bushfires, all power was out in the area, roads were closed & this was the only accommodation we could find. I didnt think they are people still out there that would exploit the situation, unlike this motel... The prices online were half the price they charged us, (we didnt have a choice there was 6 of us ages from 50 - 85 , 4 had to share ( 2 in a single) it was cosy!! They charged us $499aud!! Per room a night !!!!! Unbelievablethe rooms where on Booking.com at $299. ( we couldnt excess internet as power was out) But that is far to high considering the low standard of rooms. Do not stay here unfriendly staff & low standard rooms & rip offs. Unlike the Beach cafe that stayed open to feed all the hundreds of people that also got stuck in the area it was the only place with a generator to make food.

Never stay here - total rip-offUnfortunately we had to stay here when we were evacuated during bushfires. We discovered the hard way that some people were out for all that they could get. We were charged $455 per night for an extremely tired and out dated room with a double bed, aged appliances and no toilet paper in the bathroom. Less than fifteen minutes after checking in, another family were sent to our room, claiming it as theirs. The woman at reception showed little compassion for her mistake, and caused my friend to stay in the room at all times, lest it be double booked again while we were gone. We could not find rates online anywhere around this cost, the room seems generally around $299 on peak/public holidays, which is too high for what you get.

Paradise havenThe most disappointed motel I have ever stayed in,spent a weekend at mollymook Valentine's weekend .We thought we would have a weekend away after the fires little did we know there was a surf carnival in town everywhere was booked except paradise haven . Now I know why ,on the way down we got a call saying our room was ready at 11am and the key was in room 12 as reception would be closed I thought to myself that's a bit unprofessional so left it at that. On arriving reception was closed found the room 12 and entered omg the room was dirty ,tv had a thick layer of dirt on it ,top of fridge was dirty same as around the microwave and the outside of the kettle was a lot cleaner after I scrubbed it . Pulling back the sheets found them damp so left the bedspread off to air the sheets .I should have walked out then after seeing a cobweb around the side of the toilet and daddy long legs on the ceiling but having had the room charged to my card the day before we arrived I suffered and stayed as we needed a break .I know what to do in future is to walk out and not stay .Found management unprofessional when I did eventually find the office open 2 days later .Paid $459 for a room rated at 1star with a outdated bed and linen I would use as rags that bad .Staying here has given me a big wake up call next hotel I stay at I will inspect the room before handing over any credit card details .

Dirty place and over priced!Do not stay here. It's dirty, disappointing and we felt ripped off. The place should not be over $180/night. This is a $120/night place at the most, if you are OK with a dirty place. I travel a lot for work so I stay in many different places. Never have a stayed in a place like this, plus paid $180/night for it. I have nothing against accommodation that is on the old side, but if it's old, dirty, things don't work, you have paid more for it compared the place down the road, that's closer to the beach and that is clean and new, then I have a problem with it. I took photo's so you can decide for yourself. There was sand on the floor in the bathroom, spiders and webs around the place, dirty tea cups (I didn't even check the other dishes - felt completely disgusted and didn't even end up making any tea), plus the freezer was disgusting inside. The bedside table was broken off the headboard, the lock of the sliding door to the balcony ended up in our hands because it was also broken, plus the shower door only closed two-thirds of the way. You only get one towel to shower with, no face towels or hand towels. On top of that only one tiny bar of hand soap. You don't get Shampoo, Conditioner or Body Wash. And the cherry on the cake was the itching we had to endure after going to bed, from something biting us. So much so that at midnight we considered leaving and driving back to Sydney. The only reason that we stayed was because we felt it would be unsafe at that time of night, with all the Kangaroos from the Jervis Bay National Park. We will not stay there ever again.

Price gougeAppalling conditions for a motel that is widely advertised. Paying $3000 for 6 nights, yes $500 per night from 4th January this year for 2 adults 2 young teenagers. Room not serviced for the entire stay, no fresh towels daily, when requested was told it rained last night and they are wet., the bathmat had 2 great 6to 8 inch holes and so old you wouldnt use it for a rag. The bedroom could only just fit a double bed, bathroom was size of a toilet, kitchen cupboards were broken and off their hinges. Everything felt dirty. The two single beds were in the main room, no table and chairs for meals and certainly no drying facilities considering it was at a beach. When it is promoted to people to support the south coast after the fires this is a disgusting price gouge. Friends stayed in the sandpiper motel Ulladulla 3 adults in a spotlessly clean motel with all facilities for $202 per night during the exact dates. I will be contacting. NSW tourism and the motel association and report this place
