Hotel above my expectationJust stayed for three nights. The price is so cheap that I did not expect much. But the hotel exceed my expectations. Nice spacious rooms, quiet. Decent food selection and taste. Very friendly reception with good English. Pool area big enough. We never had any issue in finding a sub bed. A bit far from beach. But there are some shortcuts. So not so bad. All in all a pleasant stay

Value for moneyWe have just returned from a week in Bulgaria, staying at Paradise Green park Hotel and Apartments. It is difficult to sum up this hotel as there are many positives and negatives.Firstly we were the only English family staying here, which wasnt a problem, you just feel a bit conspicuous. The reception staff spoke pretty good English and were very helpful. When We arrived we were surprised by the size of our apartment(we were on the 7th floor). We had a view of the forest which was quite tranquil especially at sunset. The balcony was spacious and equipped with table and chairs, and a clothes airer which was very handy. We had a one bedroom apartment which was great to put the kids in however this meant we had to sleep on the sofa bed, which had the thinnest mattress and was very creaky. We asked for mattresses at reception who brought two up immediately, with which we made a bed up on the floor.Didnt expect to be sleeping on the floor on holiday but it was more comfy than some beds weve slept in.The air con was free and a huge bonus. The bathroom was big and shower was very nice. The kitchen had no utensils as you have to hire them but having a fridge and sink was handy.Would have been nice to have wine glasses and cups in the room as the maids did not like it if you took them from the restaurant(even though the latest bar closes at 9.30pm)The apartments are cleaned daily and given fresh towels. In fact the whole hotel is kept very clean. The swimming pool area is lovely and we always found a sunbed.A lifeguard is always on duty. The bar area is not well equipped only had beer, wine, vodka and soft drinks but a few snacks are provided in a fridge by the pool. The restaurant is buffet style and although there is a large variety of foods available,it did become boring,by the end of the holiday we were glad to eat out. There is a free bus from the hotel going to nirvana beach but you do have to hire sun beds etc before you go(24 lev for two). The hotel is located at the back of the resort so is quite a long way from the beach and main part of town. There are a few short cuts which are steps so ok going down hill to the beach - not so great coming back.We got a taxi when the kids were too tired to walk at night or in the heat which was 10 lev (£5)which is a lot for a two minute trip but had to be done sometimes. The hotel is walking distance from aquaoplis water park, which was well worth a visit. All in all we had a lovely holiday in Bulgaria and for what we paid for the hotel could not complain about it being quite a basic all inclusive.I dont think wed return to this hotel but I dont regret choosing it for our stay there this time.

Holiday for one week with friendsJust returned from a week's stay in Golden Sands, Bulgaria. We rented a private apartment (Kris Apartments) that was located within the hotel. Firstly, there is no maid service included in the charge so you have to empty your own rubbish (including toilet bin waste) to the outside bins - this I found to be totally unhygienic. I have rented apartments before and there has always been someone go in daily to empty the toilet bin. We had one change of towels mid week. The apartments are very basic, quite unclean and not worth the rental price. The hotel is in a poor location, up a steep hill that is unlit at night and you have to walk on the road due to the poor cracked/broken steps and pavements that are very dangerous to walk on. Ladies beware - do not walk up here alone at night, I certainly did not feel safe on my own. The state of the roads and pavements make it unsuitable for those in wheelchairs, families with prams and anyone who has difficulties walking. The people are very arrogant and clearly do not like the English. If they can rip you off they will. Golden Sands is supposed to be for families and couples, however, the amount of Russian teenagers (13/14 years old at most) in the bars on the shisha pipes and on the streets drinking made you think you were in Magaluf! The food is not brilliant, we struggled to find a decent restaurant that served a full meal we enjoyed, you order chicken skewer, you get one chicken skewer - everything else, chips, salad, rice, veg you have to pay extra for so the meal is not cheap once you've added everything on. Taxi drivers will rip you off every opportunity, going down the hill ranged from 3 lev, to 8 lev, to 10 lev and sometimes even 15 lev! We found one of the hotel receptionists to be one of the most miserable and unhelpful people I have ever had the misfortune to meet. When leaving money in a restaurant they assume your change is their tip and don't always bring you the change unless you ask for it. There is a charge for the toilets when on the front/strip. We even got charged for the 'live' music that were playing in the Hard Rock cafe but wasn't told before we went in that we would be charged for this. My advice to anyone thinking about going to Vulgaria would be don't go - the resort is not up to standards for British holidaymakers - the place is a dump and I would sooner pay a little extra and go to somewhere that is clean where the people appreciate that tourists are helping them to make a living. Would never go back to this place.

Nice tripOverall Ive had a nice experience at this location. The staff was nice and helpful and the food was good for its price range (the sweets like biscuits and cakes are really tasty and so is the coffee) The gym is nicely equipped and the rooms are cleaned everyday. The pool is nice and clean and usually there are enough sunbeds, but most of them arent facing the sun so it is kind of difficult to get tanned. The hotel could use some repairing though, as the A/C didnt work in our room, but the temperature was ok so we didnt bother telling them about this issue. Also, the cups are not enough for breakfast so we had to drink our coffee from plastic cups, which I didnt find very pleasant or environmental friendly.

HorribleWe paid for all inclusive and all the meals were horrible. We went to eat somewhere else... No hairdryer in the room. I went to ask at the reception for a dryer and the lady said " there are only 3 in the whole hotel and that no one has returned it yet ". Only 3 hairdryers in a big hotel with seven floors.
