    Luxury villa living

This is a lovely little villa resort. Guests can easily self-cater with the vast kitchen and theres a pre-arrival grocery service. However, its so easy to get around on Nevis and well with dining at some of the MANY fantastic restaurants nearby. Since I last visited, they have now opened a restaurant which serves daily continental breakfast- but you can order eggs any way too. Dinner is two evenings a week, we were there for the lobster bake. Great entertainment and a lovely atmosphere from the guests. Fantastic beach. If only a couple, or small family- would definitely recommend the new beachfront villas.

    A week in heaven

I honestly didn't know that such a beautiful place existed in the world. I will remember this trip for the rest of my life. We stayed in one of the private villas on the beach. It was beautifully furnished in a relaxed sea-side 'shabby-chic minus the shabby' style. Everything you could imagine needing was included, the kitchen was fully equipped and HAD A KETTLE (as a Brit this is always a bonus for me!), there was a torch for venturing out late (Nevis is so real and natural, there is very little artificial lighting, you can really see the stars :)), luscious bath products (Molton Brown ftw!) and plenty of cushions. There is equipment on the beach which you are welcome to use including kayaks and paddle-boards. I highly recommend taking out a kayak. How often do you have a stretch of maybe 200m of beach almost completely to yourself? Magical. The staff were, without exception, incredible and extremely accommodating. Having certain requirements due to recent illness, we were not the easiest of visitors but they went out of their way to be helpful and make our stay fantastic. In particular Camilla and Kimroi (apologies if bad spelling) were fantastic, they were in touch every day to ask if we needed anything and ready to answer our (MANY) questions at the drop of a hat. Housekeeping arrived several times a day to clean and provide turn-down service, bottles of water etc. They were super friendly and polite, we didn't even know what turn-down service was, I mean WOW. For local things to do we had so many amazing experiences. First and foremost, SUNSHINE'S BAR! We visited about ten times during our week's stay and were treated like royalty by Sunshine, Maria and Gabby <3 it's a very chill 'reggae' local place with amazing food (think grilled fish, fresh salad and traditional Caribbean dishes), and great live music. Sunshine will look after you :))) Going out on a catamaran is essential. We did the morning trip which includes lovely rum punch refreshments and a stop to snorkel and see all the amazing colourful fishies! Don't worry if you're not a strong swimmer, floatation devices (as well as all the necessary equipment) are available! The guys in charge were awesome. Very chilled, friendly and up for a little dance on deck after a couple of drinks (!). Also the sunset horseback ride along the beach is out of this world, Erica was a perfect tour-guide. It is a truly unmissable, a unique, relaxed way to explore some of the island close-up and 'behind the scenes'. We also did an 'easy' hike up to the waterfalls with Baba (who also drives a taxi and bought us to the hotel when we arrived). 'Easy' in Nevis is maybe 'moderate' in US/British terms! It took about 3 hours but was so so worth the effort. Baba was an excellent guide and stopped frequently to tell us about the local flora and fauna, what different plants were used for, now and historically. It gave us a whole other and extremely precious view of island life. The botanic gardens are tranquil and gorgeous. We saw lots of monkeys running around, lush vegetation and stunning flowers. We were the only two people there for a lot of the time! The purple drink (I've forgotten the name!) is very good and is made using some of the flowers from the garden. Perfect refreshment after walking around in the sun. All of our excursions were arranged by the concierge at Paradise Beach and the organisation and efficiency was mind-blowing. Can't rate them highly enough, you will be truly spoilt. For taxis there were many lovely drivers. In particular ask for Hollywood, Baba or Marvin! The cost of taxis is high but probably seems quite normal if you're the sort of person who can afford to come here! There is also a local bus which is fun and a great way to get a bit closer to local life and save some pennies. I can't comment on the price of our accommodation as I was lucky enough to be invited along by a friend who had won a competition (#winning!), it is not something either of us would ever be able to afford in normal circumstances! However, even for £1000/night I would say this was great value. My life's goal is to save enough to go back!

Great boutique hotel, top service and great food

the family spent some time here over xmas twinned with Antigua its very small, on the beach, chilled, 2 bed wooden cabin rooms on stilts. At peak periods the restaurant is open most of the time and we were extremely impressed buy the quality of cooking Service was first class from Donna the GM through to all the staff especially Alison at the bar If you are going to Nevis which is a beautiful small island stay here rather than the Four Seasons down the beach which looks awful after all the beach erosion. Sand there was dark brown nothing like the photos

    Absolutely superb

We had a wonderful half-term week at Paradise Beach. We typically stay in Four Seasons resorts but decided to try this based on their website and various reviews. We were not disappointed! The "beach hut" in which we stayed was well fitted out and the staff friendly and efficient. This is one of the few places where one thinks twice about writing a good review - we'd rather like to keep it to ourselves!
