  Hotel con lo justo y necesario. Eso sí, en medio del paraíso.

  El hotel es la mejor opción de alojamiento en una lista que no tiene casi nada. Se encuentra frente a la playa y la mayoría de sus cabañas dan al mar. De noche, la paz es absoluta y el sonido del mar te invita a un descanso placentero. Eso sí, lleven mucho repelente porque de noche los mosquitos te llevan en andas. A pesar de haber reservado una suite standard, por error en el check-in nos llevaron a la paradise spa, la habitación más lujosa de todas, que dispone de un jacuzzi en el deck con vista directa al mar. Mucho glamour!!!! PUNTO EN CONTRA: Tienen un estricto check-in a las 15 horas. No te dejan pasar a las habitaciones antes y eso que nosotros llegamos a las 11. En cuanto a la habitación, era enorme!! Pero los muebles y la cama parecían de los años 90, el colchón estaba gastado y las sábanas no eran suaves. El baño tenía una bañadera pero la ducha estaba en el piso. Entonces tras bañarse dos personas quedaba todo el piso inundado. El desayuno estaba incluido e incluida ricas tostadas de pan francés y facturas. Eso sí, nada de frutas. El staff de recepción fue muy cordial y amable, pero el de los restaurantes... no tanto. Teníamos que agitar los brazos para que vinieran a atendernos. Además, sólo hablaba francés. Nada, nada de inglés, por lo que la comunicación se dificultaba mucho. Aunque con buena predisposición, el staff era un tanto bruto, no por maldad sino por falta de educación y roce. El único trago que pedimos en el bar estuvo feo. A mejorar la barra señores!! Punto a favor: El hotel prestaba -sin costo- máscara de snorkel y patas de rana. Y alquilaba kayacs. No había conexión wifi en las habitaciones. Sólo en el lobby y muy pobre. Si el hotel no tuviera la playa que tiene enfrente, sin duda mi calificación hubiera sido apenas "buena". Tienen muchas oportunidades de mejora en cuanto a servicio.

  Hotel en el paraíso

  Alojarse en el hotel Paradise d'Ouvea es un lujo por el entorno donde se encuentra. En una isla semi desierta por decirlo de alguna manera. El hotel en sí no es un lujo pero el lugar hace que lo sea. El desayuno necesita mejorar y la comida es muy normal. Estuvimos de luna de miel y nos gustó pero es verdad que si ese hotel lo ubicas en otro sitio donde hay más hoteles, tendría una puntuación muy baja. No obstante, me volvería a hospedar en él. La gente del hotel es muy amable y están pendientes de ti en todo momento.

  Really is paradise

  Paradis Ouvéa is located on the most incredible stretch of white sand. The sea is crystal clear and we swam with turtles three times during our stay, simply by lying on the lounges on the sand and spotting shadows swim past and jumping in after them! SERVICE: There's been a few recent bad reviews of this hotel which I personally can't really understand. Yes the service is not lighting fast , but you're on a tropical island on island time, so you have to adapt, and also everything is so relaxed there's not a lot of reason to be in a rush. All the staff we encountered were courteous and helpful. FOOD: We ate at the restaurant once for dinner, the tuna was a little over cooked but the crevettes were absolutely delicious. The breakfast had the usual buffet - pain au chocolat, croissants, baguettes, jams, cereal, yoghurt, eggs, rice, bacon, sausages, hash browns, cheese, salads and fresh fruit. ROOM: Big and spacious room with a lounge and enormous bed. Satellite tv, fridge (no mini bar), kettle, safe, AC and fan. Bathroom had a bath and a shower (drop shower plus a hand held rose). We stayed in a garden bungalow room. The sunset from the beach is incredible. Would definitely go back!

  Hotel Paradis D'Ouvea - STEER CLEAR OF THIS RESORT - VERY UNFRIENDLY PEOPLE AND MANAGER

  DON'T BOTHER GOING HERE UNFRIENDLY MANAGER AND STAFF (this is an accurate recount of our family trip, my comments may differ from others but this is from the Australian recount). From the unfriendly transport guy who picked us up to the unfriendly welcome (none existent) when we arrived it was the same unfriendliness throughout our whole 6 day stay. Language barrier was a real problem with not many speaking English (or "preferring" not to speak ENGLISH) to avoid conversation. The activities lady was do dumb she booked us on the wrong trip. The trip was from 8am - 2pm. At 4pm I began to worry and by 6pm when the family member had not returned I was up to see the Manager. They managed to ring the boat Captain. Captain left message at resort 4 hours prior and I NEVER GOT THE MESSAGE (or they just never bothered to give it to be being Australian and white). The Manager brought a mocktail as a "sorry" but the "sorry" was so fake it was a really don't care attitude. They never even bothered getting back to us regarding the stuff up. All french were served first and we were left to do most stuff ourselves. I felt discriminated against being Australian and white. New Caledonia is so so expensive. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO OUVEA NOR TO NEW CALEDONIA EVER. I do not post any pictures although I do have plenty. If this has been helpful please vote with a thumbs up. Shame bad manager, bad attitude, and such lovely beach.

  Great rooms

  We stayed there 4 nights and were hypnotized by the beauty of this place. The hotel sits on the most beautiful beach you will ever encounter. It is a lagoon so there is no wave just pristine, calm waters. You can walk to the Mouli bridge. The rooms are big, comfortable and really nice. We had 7 people traveling together and we had 1 villa with 3 rooms in it. It was perfect. It is a beautiful resort with a nice pool. The staff is nice. They are trying their best. The food is average at the restaurant. I want to address the negative comments of the service I read here: in the description of the hotel on trip advisor it says: Another Idea Of Time. Take that phrase to heart and set your expectations. If you go in there and expect service like in the US you will be disappointed. But if you go in there and reset your expectations you will have a very relaxing time and will get to enjoy the beautiful view from the restaurant while you wait.
