  Hotel paschalia

  Booked it as a last minute holiday, but the price was NOT cheap. It was B&B basis. Breakfast was poor and cold so we didnt use this facility. If you want a Greek environment at the hotel, don't bother going there. All the stafff are non Greek and spend their time talking in their language.........As Greek Cypriots, we would have liked to have seen and heard some Greek speaking staff. There was nnothing to do in the evenings at the hotel and the town of protaras is a good 45 min walk away and is quite expensive ( better off staying in ayia napa and although its real busy in the summer, its still good for families cos the party goers come out after 11pm ). One evening we had an incident where a guest mistakenly banged on our door.....being me and my younger daughter ( 2 females alone) it was a frighening experince at 3am. When called the hotel that night NO ONE came up to see if we were ok. The next morning my husband called the hotel from the UK and the reassured him that it will not happen again, To give them credit, they spoke to the the guest responsible who was meant to come and apologise!! Never did. The reception staff did offer to move us room near reception but we chose to stay in our room. Basically, the hotel was NOT worth the money and was dull and boring. Will not go back and certainly not recommend for young famliies who need entertainment

  Russians every where

  stayed at this hotel 5 years ago much better then, now the hotel caters for russians everything written in russian staff russian. Food was disgusting had to eat out no entertainment had a flooded bathroom for 3 days before the manager had to fix it himself after sending maintenance men who obviously had no idea. Not a friendly hotel , lucky enough there was a lovely english family and liverpool people,russian people are so rude not friendly at all. the only friendly person there was a young lady who worked in the pool bar she was lovely.

  Quiet

  We travelled here as a family of 4 and two friends. Difficult to find as we hired a car. On arrival our Rooms were great, service ok but food was shocking ( in a bad way ) the location was reasonable. Top tip don't go end of season! Don't go all inclusive plenty of nice restaurants with better food and drink. Swimming pool great we had to ourselves as end of season. No night entertainment. I will go back to protaras but not to this hotel. We spent most our money on food, and we paid all inclusive. But what you expect for a low star hotel I guess. Staff were mostly kind especially to our pregnant friend that came along with us. Quite a walk to beach, advise you hire car for holiday to get around and visit. Also there is a mac Donald's in protaras, which I found quite amusing. Beaches are nice, clear blue sea, but get down there early as it gets busy.

  Smartline Hotel

  I think that some of the reviews are not quite true, the food is fine at breakfast you can have freshly Prepared omelettes of your choice & freshly fried eggs if you wish. Plenty of choice. If your looking for fine dining go somewhere else, this is a package holiday & so you get what you pay for. Anywhere in Cyprus now you find Russian visitors it's not just here. I've visited Cyprus every year for the last 14 years and yes things have changed but credit to this hotel they are still in business so they are doing something right. The rooms are well equipped & clean what more do you require? Your out and about your on holiday enjoy the Island I do.

  Cheap n not so cheerful

  Stopped at this hotel a few years ago now & found it to be very basic. Fourth floor, not the cleanest & no kitchenette in our room. We love the area having been many times before. Locally the food here is very good and reasonably priced too. However, after 3 days of our family stay here I was so fed up with the state of the place I left & went to Israel on a cruise to tour the holly lands but kept my room to store the luggage I didn't need for the cruise. I don't like the idea of paying for a room & then not using it but I go on holiday to enjoy myself and unwind not to get stressed. Admittedly it was the end of the season but I still expect the same standards from a hotel no matter what time of the year... you take my money so provide me a decent service..... On the point of end of season on our return to the hotel for our last week were told we would be moved to another hotel as our last day the hotel was actually closed for winter so needed to be moved first thing to a hotel that could accommodate our family before our transfer to the airport. Trust me I'd of preferred they moved us from day one........ I'd certainly not use this hotel again & clearly I don't recommend a stay here end of season. Don't Do it!
