  Great Hotel with Amazing Views

  I'm just back from spending 6 nights at the Hotel Panoramic in the Taormina-by-the-sea/Isola Bella area of Taormina. This was a great hotel choice. Apparently every room has a view of the sea and my certainly did! The balcony was very private and looked out at Isola Bella and the whole beautiful coastline around Taormina. It was amazingly beautiful. My room was spacious, simply furnished, quiet and comfortable, with a good bed and decent bathroom, all very modern and new feeling. The TV viewing in English was limited though, with mainly news channels and some sports. While I wouldn't recommend dinner at the Hotel restaurant, breakfast (included in price of the room) was excellent and taken either in the dining-bar area or on an outside terrace with the same mesmerizing view that I had from my room. It was a wonderful way to start the day. The Hotel is about 100 yards from the funicular which carries you up to the main town of Taormina in just a few minutes for a mere 3 Euros. Where you get the funicular there are about 3 restaurants, car parking, and public beach access, and the various day buses stop there (Hop On Hop Off and Taormina by See), plus there is an Interbus stop across the road and some of the day tour buses like the one to Mount Etna do pick ups from there if you arrange with the tour company in advance. On the way down the road from the Hotel to the funicular there are a number of eateries and a couple of gelatorias. You can also walk down to Isola Bella and explore the small island. Some folks might prefer to be in the actual town of Taormina, but for me being at the Hotel Panoramic couldn't have been more convenient. Like I said, the Hotel was great, and the staff were really outstandingly helpful.

  Great view, good breakfast, clean

  This hotel is located near the beach, a short gondola ride to town and has amazing views. The pool on the roof provided our family with hours of fun. It is large, has many deck chairs and umbrellas as well as views of isola Bella. The breakfast was spectacular and overall we felt it was very good value for money. We will visit again.

  Well rated online but with a few surprises on site

  We are a family of five and had to book two rooms. Since day one the air conditioning in one pf the rooms didnt work. The second room had some. Considering there were 45 degrees outside it became an issue. Mostly during the nights Luana at front desk was EXTREMELY helpful, nice and attentive. All the time. She did her best. Changed rooms. Brought fans. The problem was clearly in the hotel and the fact that they advertise they have ac when they dont On my departure I encountered another couple complaining due to the same reason Breakfast was fine however coffee was terrible. And not to have good coffee in Italy is unforgivable The Salvataggio young guy was nice and helpful as well The housekeeper Minerva was extremely detailed and helpful as well No ac and bad coffee put this place down to a 3 stars when it cpuld have been a strong 4.5

  Nice location, hotel refurbishment lovely, but really let down by no air conditioning and noisy location

  Location in Naxos was great, nice view out of the room, right on the beach. The hotel was really lovely having had a refurbishment last year. First impression of the room was fantastic. Sadly really let down by no air conditioning. The air conditioning did not work, it was a hotel system that did nothing other than blow hot air around the room. We reported the problem on day one, the staff said they would contact the engineer, nothing changed. The staff tried their best to assure us it was going to be fixed but we soon realised this was a big hotel problem. Speaking with other guests they were also having the same problem. We saw fans outside rooms a clear indication there were problems. The room overlooked the beach so to try and keep cool we left the patio door open but was very noisy until around 0300. We had booked 4 nights, after two nights in a hot noisy room with no sleep we decided to give up and leave. Moved to a lovely hotel just around the corner.

  VENIR A ESTE HOTEL ES TIRAR EL DINERO

  El hotel tiene 4 estrellas pero le sobran 3, He conocido en España sencillas pensiones mucho mejores que el hotel. Es verdad que esta en primera línea de playa pero también está junto a un edificio en ruinas abandonado y eso en Sicilia es como estar en un basurero.
