  coach trip over Christmas found the hotel excellent, service and staff so friendly .I agree with a previous review the chef was tops ,the food served over our stay was cooked to perfection.We had a large balcony looking out over the village and lake.

  Nice clean rooms

  The rooms in this hotel are nice and clean. A large negative for me is the lack of free WI-FI - it is however 1 per 24h, but considering the price of the room it could be included. The breakfast is nice - as you get them in other Austrian pensions. There is free parking outside the pension, however I assume it fills up quite fast in the season. The pension is a short stroll away from the leak promenade.

  The hotel is situated in a beautiful area with a great view of the lake Traunsee and the mountain Traunstein. We were here on a business trip with my colleagues, the rooms were very clean and good looking, all with big balcony or terrace. The breakfast was tasty and with several varieties. We have noticed only one bigger failure - the WLAN range was really weak. After all, we were satisfied.

  An interesting mix of strengths and areas for improvement

  A popular hotel based on the number of guests at breakfast and cars in the car park. Decent rooms with lovely views from the balcony over the lake. Positives Unlimited tea and coffee at breakfast Loads of bread with cheese and meat making a large and good breakfast. One of the staff on reception is very friendly and helpful. Negatives There are no blinds on the bedroom windows, just rather thin curtains, so rooms let the light in early in the morning. Breakfast ends at 9.30. Quality of fruit juice at breakfast No lift. We were really not made to feel welcome on arrival. We arrived around 7pm and the key was handed over with no information. The next evening we noticed that keys were simply left on the counter for guests who were yet to arrive with a list of names and their rooms.

  View from the hills above Traumsee

  A very nice Pension up off of the Traumsee . View of the lake and mountains somewhat obscured by a large electric line directly between you and the view but this is a minor annoyance . The facility is modern, clean, very bright and reasonably priced . Rooms were standard European size but well appointed with nice linens and fixtures . Had half-board dinner which was good and well priced. Very good secure bicycle storage . Manager / owner very friendly and helpful . Excellent copious breakfast with multiple choices . Close to several other restaurants but a bit off the beaten path which has some benefits and some shortcomings .
