  Good but not opened for foreigners

  Excellent location, good quality hardware with lousy chinese free breakfast and good value hotel. Unfortunately, they couldn't take in foreigners despite they have various signs in both English and Chinese. Luggages deposit exceeding a day is not permitted in this hotel.

  Overpowering Cigarette Stench All Over the Hotel

  You will notice the stench of cigarette right after you enter the lobby. They had no idea how to check you in when your booking sheet is in English, it took 5 staff and more than 30 mins to process our check in. They don't understand how to spot family name on our passports, we tried to help in Chinese but they were behaving as if they didn't have any problem yet at the same time talking to their clueless colleagues on which one was family name and which was given name. They did not understand our booking confirmation either and did not know if they should be retaining our booking confirmation or to return to us. They are a bunch of headless chickens. They also did not entertain you if you asked for direction or any recommendation on what to eat. The room was rather dark, you won't know if the bed sheet is clean or dirty. Bathroom floor is not level, water from the shower seeped underneath the shower screen creating a pool of water right after the entrance. Be careful that you don't slip in the bathroom. You need to let the water run for at least 5 mins until it's warm enough - both tap and shower. Bed and pillow were nice, if you like firm mattress and low pillow, but there's stench of cigarette everywhere in the room. Vibrated condoms were provided in the room - it made us think if this is rather a love hotel? You can also rent the room on hourly basis, min 3 hours. No dresser mirror, no complimentary mineral water, no mini bar, no safe, very very basic toiletries were provided, rubber slippers were provided. Location is around 5 mins walk to Nanping Rd. Nearest eateries are 5 mins walk away and staff are unfriendly in the most unexplainable way. Conclusion: unless if you are a native Chinese and love the stench of cigarettes, go somewhere else.
