great relaxing holidayrooms very spacious and clean , situated in a great area close to bars and restaurants, staff very friendly and helpful , no complaints apart from the extra cost for the air conditioning and fridge charge,

Immaculate accomodation in a great locationStayed here the first week in September. We had a lovely time. Our room was spacious modern and very clean. Towels were changed daily and we had some nice toiletries provided. The hotel is well situated from all the eating places. Though the food in the hotel is superb. There were plenty of sunbeds and the pool area was nice. It is a short walk to the beach. The beach is a narrow strip with dark sand and quite pebbly to access the sea. Always plenty of sunbeds and enjoyed the sea which was sandy once past the pebbles! There was another larger bit of beach but it looked much busier . Lots of places to eat out and some nice bars too. We liked Charlie Chaplin's the food and service were second to none! Also Castello beach bar with gorgeous views of the sea. Good food and good service. If you like a pool holiday this is a great place to stay. Not much of a beach holiday. The resort is very nice and a good bus service into zakynthos. We also took a taxi to tsvilli which cost seventeen euros each way. Would recommend and would definitely return .

Excellent HotelI was going to knock a point off for the extras you have to pay for, aircon and safe you sort of expect in Greece but charging 30 euro's for 10 days to hire a mini fridge in your room is terrible, never seen this before. That out of the way this is a great hotel, all the staff are great in the hotel and very friendly, the rooms are great very modern bathrooms and amazingly clean probably the cleanest hotel I have seen in Greece. We had a great room 210 2nd floor looking out towards the hills and local olive groves, nice and quiet. Bed was very large and excellent quality bedding. Pool area is kept spotless and is very relaxing to say it's in the centre of Argassi, lots of well kept gardens as well. One negative is there is no dedicated pool bar which is a shame it's the Palmyra restaurant bar that you use and to be honest the staff in the bar tended to be rather unfriendly which sticks out compared to everyone else at the hotel, one big plus is the drinks at the bar are very good and some of the best prices you will find. Breakfast was very very good the two ladies that look after breakfast are so efficient everything is kept topped up and again spotlessly clean. We have stayed in Argassi many many times and this is one of the best hotels and we will definitely return here.

Nice hotel, but....On previous visits to Argassi we have stayed at the Papillon. Left it too late for booking so chose the Palmyra, as we knew the location, which suited us! On arrival we paid for the safe [in room] and air conditioning. Had read that fridges are sometimes included so went to our room to check. No luck, so back down to reception to pay for it. Price a bit steep, but hey ho, we're on holiday! Very nice room - large bed, plenty of storage and a nice view of the pool area. Recently refurbished, the bathroom was glass and chrome! Very clean with toiletries provided. Bit weird with the all glass wall of the shower, but curtain provided so no big deal. Strange system of lights to indicate if room was occupied, ready for housekeeping or no admittance! Seemed a bit over the top, a sign on the door works just as well and is less likely to cause misunderstandings! Also, no signage! We have been to Greece many times and know the routine over toilet paper but for a newcomer [there were 2 on our flight] it could lead to misfortune! [Lack of signage throughout the hotel too!] Breakfast was very good. Good selection of hot and cold food that was replenished as needed. Staff were a bit sullen when we first got there, but soon livened up as our stay continued. Plentiful coffee on tap but the one toaster led to a jam occasionally! Would also have served the condiments in individual packets as there was a lot of wastage [honey in particular - may have just been sloppy guests tho!] A lot of people tended to take their morning drinks outside, where there was a verandah with tables and chairs. This area should be expanded as it got very popular! Pool area was large, with well kept lawns and plants. Seemed to be plenty of sun beds, but we still saw people reserving beds at 7 am! Bad habits die hard! There was no dedicated pool bar - all refreshments for the pool were bought from the Palmyra restaurant.Bar staff here were friendly, and prices good! Which is more than I can say about the hotel bar! Normally we would have a drink before going out to eat but tried it once and gave up! We waited till someone showed up and ordered [2 ouzo and lemonade] - rummage around for glasses, wander off to find some ice, back with 2 lumps per glass and then off again to find Sprite! Small portions [for Greece!] and 7 euros each! Very disappointing and I think the hotel needs to improve this area a lot - opportunity for a good money maker, especially if the cater to the pool as well! All in all this is a good hotel, and we would go back. Feel that there is room for a bit of tweaking to make it better. NB - Glenda, Jet2 rep confirmed to us that Jet2 have a minimum of 25 rooms for 2020 - contrary to popular talk!
