Near the beach. Quiet and Peaceful Place to stay.Mid range hotel with basic facilities and a nice pool. The plus point is, just a min walk to the very quite beach which you will never find any beach vendor selling you things. You are all by yourself on the long endless beach to read, laze, to suntan , to dream or just to be away from huge crowd. You can wear to the minimum for sun tanning without anyone coming to disturb you. Wonderful beach area to be just yourself. If you like crowd then its not the beach for you. Have to go further down to Negumbo area which is not too far away The hotel is nice and quiet with helpful staff to give you information of places to visit or to book a cheap taxi to bring you around the area. Breakfast is basic, nothing fanciful Room are clean and basic too. The ground floor rooms are best , ask for those facing the pool or the garden . You can sit outside the small patio to have your cup of tea / read or just to get the sun. Outside of the hotel, there is nothing much.Need to get a taxi or a cheap Tuk Tuk to go to the other nearby town

Between Colombo and the AirportWe selected this hotel as our flight was arriving very late and it was not as far from the airport as Colombo. We also were looking forward to a relaxing day with an ocean swim. Our taxi had great difficulty locating the hotel so it was well after 1.00 AM when we checked in. There was a 24 hour reception and that was a factor in our choice of the hotel. The room was basic but comfortable. We did sleep ok. Breakfast was also ok..not wonderful but satisfactory. When we walked to the surf beach we found a large rock platform and were told not to swim. The pool was clean and enjoyable if a bit old. We were told that the hotel will close soon for a full refurbishment and it needs it! Staff were generally. A hard place to rate. Good by local standard but basic on full scale!

This little hotel is owned by doctor friend of mine. It is a lovely little place. Homely! Two of my three sons were leaving Sri Lanka for a long spell and we called our friend and he said he will make all arrangements for evening tea and pool side dinner round the moderately large pool for about 15 to 20 friends including wives and a few kids. Every thing went off grandly, the service of course was excellent as we were the boss's friends. The food too was grand and beautifully presented with all kinds of liquor, fresh juice, wine and beer aplenty and of course King Coconut water. The Rooms were clean and more than adequate. A very very nice stay. Thank you Dr.NS. Some time back.

Great location but unpleasant experienceThe front desk didn't greet us when we arrived. In fact, they thought that me & my mom were there to help with a bridal party and sent us to someone else's room. We thought this was our room but when we opened the door, there was a bride getting ready. It was so embarrassing for us. We went back downstairs and complained that we're guests of the hotel, not workers!! What were they thinking!? It was so insulting for us. We wouldn't stay here again and would not recommend this place to others. Other than this bad experience, the hotel is located on the beachfront so that was a plus and nice view from our room. However, this hotel is very old. There is NO A/C. The room is very dark and dainty. I didn't trust the cleanliness of the room or the bathroom. I would say this is a 2-star hotel. You get what you pay for. Nothing impressive besides the beach location. The hotel has lots of potential for renovation and to turn it into a more luxury hotel but it seems to be doing well as it is.

Fabulous hotelLoved our stay during our tour of Sri Lanka. We especially enjoyed watching the monkeys and birds and even elephants who came on the grounds to feed. Our room was lovely and the staff were very sweet! What a special place! We only wish they had found our computer power cord that we forgot to take with us when we left.
