  Palmcourt pretends more than it can live up to

  The hotel looks really nice, especially the open structure and the way it is decorated. However when we were there it smelled really bad of the sewerage and we got an appartment right above the pumping installation, could not sit on our balcony and were kept awake by the sound of the pumping. After a lot of dealing we got one night free stay, but they were not really willing to do so. Swimming pool was very good. For the food: they had very nice starters every night, but the main course is for hungry teenagers like a child's plate. I hope they manage to fix the problems with the smell, the beach is close and very nice.

  Decent Hotel

  We have stayed 7 nights in Palm Court. It is a decent hotel. There pros and cons about it. I has anormous rooms, 2 bedrooms and a launch. It is perfect size for families. Rooms are full of light and you feel good when you enter one. Food is decent. When we were there an assistant cook had arrived and food got better. Staff is very nice too. They are always smiling and helpful. Very close to the beach (it is a really nice and long beach) and there is also a small pool. Cons, it is an old building and all the toilets equipments were old. The water system was old that water we used from tab was smelling metal and run in oranged color. I have learnt that the management was changed and this was their first year so i think they didnt have time and money to change this water system but it really is irritating. I could easly give 4 stars if it was ok.

  Looks good on paper, terrible in reality

  I stayed at this hotel a couple of weeks ago with my family. In the first instance, the hotel looks OK. It is right in front of the sea, the rooms are spacious and there is a pool, although it is overpriced. Unfortunately, there is absolutely no service provided. There is a kitchen in the rooms, but you are not allowed to cook yourself. In the three nights we stayed at the hotel, the rooms were not cleaned a single time. When we raised the issue at the check out, the hotel manager claimed that was because we asked them not to (totally untrue). When we asked for beach towels, they had to bring them from another hotel in the neighborhood. For breakfast and dinner, we had to ask regularly for plates, cutlery, napkins and the like, since they were provided in small numbers. The food was OK, but nothing special for the price we paid. Although the price included breakfast and dinner, we had to pay for our drinks, even for a glass of water. The manager was not helpful at all. He/she accused first the guests and then looked for solutions. I have seen the same behavior also towards other guests. My wife was threatened upon check out that they would give our names to all the hotels in the town so that we cannot find a place. All in all, I had never thought I would give the lowest score to a hotel. This one did manage it. Stay away from this establishment. You can find better quality hotels within walking distance, priced much better and just as close to the sea.
