  A very nice place for a lazy & quiet vacation

  Though it's pretty far from everything (just about 3-4 hotels within walking distance), it's still a great value for money. Sahl Hashish (SH) is being actively built and in 1-2 years time will be much more crowded and the prices will go up significantly. The area is being promoted as an international resort community with hotels, villas, apartment complex built all over the sea side. The entrance to the SH area (not the hotel itself) is restricted so no strangers. There quite a few families with kids who live there for months or even moved permanently. I booked directly via one of the holiday rentals websites, contacted the owners and they arranged the "meet & greet" service for a reasonable fee. The place itself is quiet, relaxing. There is a nice private beach with mattresses provided for free though no towels available. Next door is the 5* (Egyptian stars obviously) hotel "The Old Palace" which one can use for a fee as an all-inclusive option. Personally, I believe it's not worth it. Didn't use aircon in November so can't comment. The rooms were clear with simple furniture but got all one needs. The bed was great. TV has few but multi-lingual channels ranging from Russian TV to Italian & Gernam channels. The kitchen is well enough equipped. The biggest issue is transportation as the place is quite remote. One can get a car to the local The Senzo Mall (big & great) for about 50 EGP and try to bargain with local taxi drivers for 30-50 for the trip back. People normally club together and get to the mall once a week. This primarily concerns those staying with little kids who they need to cook for. The food in supermarket is just great - fresh fruit, great chicken, lots of spices, excellent milk products. The Old Palace has a bus going to Hurghada (10$) twice a day. A trip to Hurghada would probably cost you 200 EPG both ways. The local restaurant is quite good in terms of food quality. Though a bit slow serving if 5-6 tables or more are booked. The beer at the bar is 15EGP comparing to 34 (that's right) in the next-door 5-star non-all-inclusive Premier Romance hotel (it's got 3 of them). The Indian restaurant in the Romance hotel is just crap so better stick to the Palm Beach one. The Piazza (a kind of a fancy Italian-style square or promenade) has weekly (Thursday) evening shows and looks just beautiful in the night. WiFi Internet is available upon request from the restaurant staff. If you fancy going for a disco night - get to the Pyramisa hotel (10 min walk along the beach). Overall, it's great value for money, especially for those not willing to live on all-inclusive food and pick up some extra weight once back home. Besides, AI normally means crap drinks and crowded restaurant (try visiting Pyramisa during the lunch time and you'll see).

  Wonderful place to stay

  The Palm Beach Piazza is a great place to spend a quiet and relaxing holiday on the beautiful shore of the Red Sea. Gorgeous view, clean and modern flats and a wonderful staff all contribute to a quality vacation of relaxation. Wonderful beach and soft sandy bottom sea make for great swimming and snorkeling right at the resort. This is our 2nd stay for 10-15 days each and have thoroughly enjoyed them both and plan to return.

  Excellent Place to Relax

  We have stayed here several times and looking forward to another visit in a few months time. We dont tire of it. Its stunning location right on the beach is wonderful, all the staff from the security to bar staff are all friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. The weather is just amazing no rain and warm seas, what more do you want. Nothing Hurghada main town is just a short taxi ride away, fix a price with the driver before you get in, they love to barter. The whole area is100% safe, visit Egypt they need are help to recover and you wont be disappointed
