Instalaciones correctas, servicio justo y precio abusivo

    Would not recommend

I was excited to stay in a ski-in ski-out room but other than that it sucked. Hot tub wasnt working which we were really looking forward to after riding all day. Walls are paper thin. There was construction going on in part of the hotel most of the day so not relaxing at all. Love kicking horse but we will not stay here again.

Love the location, private hot tub on balcony, and full kitchen

This was our second stay here and we will be back again. We love it here because it is pet friendly, has a full kitchen, two private bedrooms & bathrooms (in select suites), secure underground parking, and a private hot tub on the balcony (in select suites). There is also a public barbeque located on the main floor for anyone to use, but unfortunately due to Covid use of that was not permitted. You have to check in at the Glacier Lodge - the next building over. When registering, make sure to grab a few extra towels & other supplies such as dish-tablets/dish-soap, as there are a limited number of those provided in the suites. It has a pretty well stocked kitchen in terms of amenities (i.e. bowls, pans, cutlery, measuring cup, etc) - it had everything we needed. The beds are very comfortable, had a nice large living-room, and its overall a great space. I dont believe that housekeeping arrives until the after the 4th night - we were there three nights and didnt have housekeeping services. I recommend to get groceries and such in town before you drive up the hill, as they do have a small convenient store in the next building over but with limited selection and a little overpriced. Sadly our room didnt have the best of views, but thats OK as it does get dark out pretty early and we were out and about during the day anyways - the photo Ive attached is the photo I took from the other side of the hotel. There are several restaurants within walking distance, again unfortunately due to Covid space in the restaurants were limited, menus were smaller, they appeared to be short-staffed, and some were closed and/or had reduced hours. Because of all of this, I think their prices for the suites should be lowered but they werent (we paid the same as last year). That would be my only real complaint. We definitely will be staying here again on our next visit to Golden.

    Great, cozy stay!!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The room was a good size and had a nice little kitchenette with a microwave, bar sink and mini fridge as well as a coffee maker and a kettle. A huge plus was the heated bathroom floor. the hotel grounds are beautiful although it was not open for skiing while we were there so we did not hit the slopes. We did however visit the nearby Nordic center, the staff at both were extremely friendly and helpful and really made us feel at home. The cross country skiing was fantastic and affordable. the staff at the hotel was extremely responsive and helpful with any questions we had and we would definitely recommend staying here. The mountain views from my room were gorgeous!!

Incredible mountain, shame about the lodging

You can't beat KHMR for incredible snow and fall lines, and this was a great hotel 10 years ago. Alas, Bellstar has really let the place go, to the point that you are really just paying for a 2-star hotel w ski in/ski out. Appliances that don't work (which we discovered after a single load of clothing that we needed to finish in another suite), burnt out lights, missing light switches, insufficient towels, insufficient dishwasher tabs, insufficient coffee/tea, insufficient garbage bags, no garbage collection (even during COVID - how about picking it up from the hallway at least?), no room service despite what the front desk tells you (the restaurant is in the building next door... but they want you to go to them), and-- this is the big one-- an unmaintained/unchecked locking mechanism on the sliding door that locked us outside in sub zero temps for 20 minutes. (A lot of this is that they set the room up for a single night stay, even if you are there for several nights-- and you need to call for extra stuff, as apparently they can't tell from your reservation how long you'll be there...) On the plus side side the beds/pillows are great as is the location on the hill. I get no joy from leaving a negative review and it's been a long time since I can remember leaving one. But this is so you can be ready for your stay: bring your own towels and bulbs, an extra camping lamp if you have one, don't trust the washer/dryer, be prepared to cook for yourself or drive into town for food, bring a ski key as these are nor provided and skis are not allowed in the suites, and do NOT close the deck door behind you, or at least leave a person inside. And remember you are there for the HILL, which is INCREDIBLE!!!!
