Nice hotel-but some distance from city centre
We stayed for 2 nights in this hotel which is situated 11km from main train station- 35 euro taxi ride. Thankfully it is near the Uban so 15 mins to town on the excellent public transport system. The room was very big, spotlessly clean. But the bed creaked with every move so a very poor nights sleep. We were unsure if the air conditioning was working as the room remained very warm. On the pluses the staff at reception were very helpful.We are in the dining room, food was excellent and we felt it was good value. Again the staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel has a very airy feeling about it, clean and bright and was very good value.

Rooms ok, Breakfast could be better
I just stayed one night here, the rooms were ok. I had a single room with a queensize bed. The bathroom was ok too. What really disappointed me was the breakfast. For 15 Euros the quality could be better. Also the atmosphere of the breakfast room could be a bit nicer.

The most attractive thing is the price
The positive things first: The hotel is reasonably clean, the staff is fairly nice and efficient and there is a garage to park your car. Also, the Italian restaurant serves decent food at reasonable prices. However, there were a few issues. When I got to the room, it was extremely warm as it heated up during the day and the AC wasn't working unless the key card is in there. So I had to choose to sleep with open windows which is noisy or closed windows in a hot room. Mind you, this was NOT on a hot day in July/August but early October. The room was very small (which is ok for one night) but if you need to stay for multiple nights, you might consider other options. The WiFi wasn't working with the code I was given. Also the reception staff wasn't able to make it work so I got a generic code (1235/ABCD). I wonder why the hotel bothers with dedicated codes at all. A big issue for me was that they used marble (or stone) to fit all the rooms. As there were a lot of guests from the Far East, they were up pretty early. So any piece of furniture that was moved created quite some noise which conveyed very well throughout the floor. The hotel looks really nice and spacious, however the breakfast room feels like a canteen on an army base and the personnel was not informed about any allergens in the food. This was definitely my first and last night at this hotel.

Rooms are roasting!!!
Staying at the hotel for my first time in this hotel. Room was quite small but it was the heat in the room that bothered me - it was roasting! So I changed the air con to the lowest setting but hot air was blowing out. Tried to open the windows but they were locked! I went to reception to complain and I was told that in Germany all air con is turned off in all hotels - apparently! He told me to open windows I explained that were locked so he came up to my room to open them. When he walked into the room he said that it wasn't even warm in the room! Got 1 window open, couldn't open the other as it was 'tricky'. Then I noticed that there were shutters 3/4 of way over window so I didnt get much cool air in! Then once I tried to get to sleep with open windows in a city, trying to knock out sounds of city life, there was a gap between the curtains so light was coming through! Didn't get a good sleep! On a positive the food was good!

Location
We stayed here and the beds were soft and wonderful. We arrived around midnight and got it for $50 Australian dollar. We didnt get breakfast as it was $50 per person so we walk across the road and went and got coffee and pastries and drinks for our day and fresh fruit. The only bad part was we went in the summer and the air conditioning shut off as the windows wouldnt shut. The shower was good and the room clean a huge . Would go back
