Great stay in Palazzo MartiranoI want to thank Alessandro, for a great hosting, for recommendations he gave us, we used them all. We liked the apartment and the place where we spent our short holiday. The room was very clean and spacious with good furniture. Our bathroom was big, good enough for 2 girls to get ready)) The apartment is centrally located, in a historical center and its just close to everything. A lot of bars, restaurants - anything you need. If you want to try some specialties from the region, try good restaurant Fratelli La Bufala and for dessert eat Gelato - its everywhere)) We came by car, but we could park it for free at the street called Via Leuca. Places where to go on the sea close to Lecce : -we have visited Gallipoli, beach Sansara- very nice beach party -Torre dell'orso Salento -you can also visit Ostuni -- as for sightseeing I would see the stone houses Trullo in Alberobello, but the trip was too short to have a look more closely, however we could see it form the distance- very interesting and rare things you can see Yulia and Johana

So DissappointingMy husband and I originally booked a room for four nights, since the location was so perfect. We planned to us it as a home base. Plus, the rooms looked so wonderful online. We were put into a small apartment right off of the street. At first, everything seemed good. The room had arched ceilings, wooden doors and windows, my kind of thing. However, it went downhill quickly. We turned on the small AC unit, and within 20 minutes there was a long stream of water running through the bedroom. We went to shower, and the bathroom smelled like marijuana and also generally seemed a little dirty. The stove did not work, there was no gas. My husband was also worried about security. In both rooms there were this beautiful wooden doors with glass windows, but they seemed very frail and thin. There were even big cracks in some parts - it just didn't seem safe. So we decided after an hour a half to leave and find another place. The gentleman who helped us confirmed our cancellation with hotels.com, but he was a little out there. It was almost like he expected us to come back to him to want to leave. I'm not sure if all of their rooms are like that - but I'd be careful. The sad part is it is so perfectly located in Lecce, if they just put a little more into the room it would have worked out. But our first night in Lecce, we were scrambling around with our suitcases to find another place, which was far from ideal and stressful, but that's how uncomfortable we felt there. I hope they fix it up because it has so much potential.

Not quite what we were promised but well managed by hostBooked through hotels.com who hadn't informed the hotel we would be coming! Couldn't initially get the room we had booked but the host did his utmost to help us and managed to get us settled. We did have a nice stay but suggest the rooms that are sold as B&B with a kitchenette are stocked with a few more basics e.g. a corkscrew plates and utensils ... opening red wine with a plastic fork is challenging! Should have given 2/5 but that's mostly the fault of hotels.com so won't punish the host. 3.5 would be reasonable but give 4/5 for the hosts effort.
