Stay in a real Palace and live in Biedermeier furnitureWe stayed in Palac Paulinum for one night. We had a living room and an extra bedroom which was round, because it was situated in the big tower. The bathroom was big with a bathtub but no extra shower. The Palac is situated in the forest overlooking the landscape. The breakfast was not really good.

Its for ghosts, not peopleI usually appreciate hotels situated in historical buildings and am even ready to pay some price in convenience. This is not the case - the hotel smells really bad - maybe its a quarter of a century of dust in the drapes, maybe something else. The worst is the princely room ( I dont remember the exact name). The breakfast is also very mediocre. Dont go there!

Treasure your life & away from PolandAs a traveler who lives more than 200 nights in a hotel every year, I had to specifically register an account to write bad reviews for my compulsive disorder! This time in my 100-day European road trip, there were no plans for Poland. I just had to leave Berlin for a taxi from Prague and take a quick look at Poland. Due to the balconies of Vaduz's hotel balcony, a large part of the time I have to set the hotel must have a balcony. I booked a Apartment with Balcony on 08/25/2017 via Booking.com. The pictures of the hotel are beautiful and read that they are palaces more than a century ago. The front desk gave me the key to my room, and then I found that there was no balcony in the room, so I asked for a room in the reception for a balcony. Front desk said balcony room has not been cleaned, need to wait for a while. I said yes, I went to the hotel restaurant for dinner while waiting for you to clean. In addition to the restaurant I only had one table, I asked the waiter for a table to sit down, waited for a while for no one to serve me, and I got up and found a waiter to the menu. After the menu is taken, no one orders for me, simply can not find the waiter where to go. Until the front desk brought the key to my room, it has been half an hour later, no attendants to order. I am unhappy, do not want to eat, went to the room. The room does have a balcony! An open terrace with no lighting and no furniture, shared with the next room. Originally intended to sit on the balcony blowing the breeze, all my hope was shattered. I have not had dinner yet, so I drove to a restaurant in the vicinity of a better-rated restaurant for dinner. I asked the waiter, I am alone, can sit outside to eat, he said yes. It was definitely in the restaurant business hours. As before, I sat for 15 minutes and no one served me. The waiter did not serve me even when cleaning the table next to me. I called her and asked her for a menu, she did not speak English, but the expression meant that the restaurant was off duty. At that time, the business hours from TA were still 15 minutes. And when I entered the house, I said that I was coming for dinner. No one refused me. The attendant who let me sit outside did not say that the restaurant was going out of business. After a room setback and two setbacks, my first impression of the country was already bad. At that time I told myself, and now to McDonald's, McDonald's in this country is not 24 hours, and now take luggage to Germany, no matter how tired, no matter how late. McDonald's saved the country. Back to the hotel room, finished McDonald's, ready to take a bath. Can not believe this hotel has no shower! Only the bathtub faucet there is a shower, there is no water pipes, no base, which means that even if it is held by hand, but also basically shoulder! I can only squat in the bathtub and wash it, with no shelter, the bathroom is all water on the ground, but also to the outside of the old carpet, disgusting. Many of the curtain rings are broken, curtains can not pull tight, although the curtain is not shading anyway. Mattress to sleep very uncomfortable, very old and old, feeling insects. This is the second time I have been wearing clothes to sleep since I was in Southeast Asia many years ago and was wearing clothes. The wifi in the room is almost equal to none, but fortunately I have cellphone traffic, although the signal is poor. Can not imagine, a senior room type can be so bad, what kind of ordinary room type is poor. The next day was the earliest day I was from. I could not wait to check out and hurried off from this terrible country. Perhaps illusion, just a bridge separating Germany and Poland, to the other side of the bridge, immediately let me feel the civilization. This night's accommodation, and my two dining experiences, have completely disappointed me in this beautifully landscaped country. Later in the journey I have been thinking of giving it a very bad negative feedback! Until now the journey is over, I finally have time to grumble! Can not say that this life will not come back to Poland, at least I will not take the initiative to Poland. This hotel, the country, is an uncivilized primitive society that is horrible.

Real Old World CharmI read some reviews after I had already booked (and paid for) this hotel, and wondered if I had made a big mistake. But I hadn't. If you arrived at this hotel on a dark winter's night, you might imagine you were in a horror film. It is a classic old building in a (small) forest - but only 20-25 mins walk from the old town in Jelenia Gora. Quiet, authentic, friendly, comfortable. Don't expect all the trimmings of a modern, state of the art hotel, but instead you get a lot of charm. Everything works, the bathrooms are modern, the rooms are furnished from a bygone age (read nice). When we were there, the dining room was often only partially full at dinner time, the food was varied and really nice (perhaps a little overcooked but that is subjective). The wine was very reasonably priced. The staff all had enough english (great german) for us to get by - and they coped excellently with the requirement for gluten free food for my wife. Breakfast was varied by continental standards, buffet style, and lots of choices - and always some cake available. We didn't use the spa facilities, I think the staff needed about an hours notice if you wanted one of the rooms opened, but we did use the pool table, well kept, cues in great condition, no charge for the facility, and the barman was happy to bring our drinks to the table and leave us there as late as we wanted. However, don't stay here if you want something lively, or if you need lots of people around you in order to feel comfortable. Stay here if you want relaxing and are comfortable with your own company - it's a great place. Oh, and everything closes down in the hotel about 10.00pm (even the bar) - but you're only a short walk (or cheap taxi ride) from the old town where you'll find some action. However the locals have very little english (even in the tourist office), but we found them to be very friendly. I saw in some other reviews that some rooms did not have showers in the bathroom - our party had the use of three rooms over a few days, and all had great showers in them - so it might be worth asking at reception or including the request when booking

Average hotel...but great staff!Stayed here for a family event for a few days, upon arrival its in the middle of nowhere, like a jungle! the hotel is like a castle and looks nice and traditional. They have no AC so it was very hot! Food was ok. Breakfast was missing the continental touch of croissants and beans and bacon! but it was ok. Not far to go into town ie 25 mins walk. They have a jacuzzi set like in a dungeon type cave. It was a fun stay and the bar staff are so friendly and lovely :-)
