  Palace!

  Do not know its full history, but has some connection with family of The Red Baron! Very comfortable room and exceptional fittings and decor. Breakfast fairly basic but enough to set us up for the morning and get on our way. Very close to Copernicus Airport but you may need sat nav if you have just collected your hire car. Easy to get into Wroclaw and if you are using this hotel as your base for a few days you will save on overnight city centre car parking costs.

  Disappointed

  This place is nearly idyllic: restored palace elevated on small river banks, horses running in the meadows in the background. Superb! Till you walk into the restaurant. It seems like owners/management tried to kill two birds with one stone. There was a private function going on in the restaurant though it was still open to the public. All fine, if you got enough resources to do it - no problem whatsoever. So we walked in to be warmly welcomed, and when they noticed we are there for the meal they went apologetic saying there's a long wait for any meals for up to 40 minutes. Well, still fine with us. But as we walked into the dinning room another member of staff told us it would be more than an hour. Our time limits were put right on the edge. We walked through dinning room to take seats on terrace, and when another member of staff appeared with menus we were told it would be much more than an hour. In just one minute waiting time increased about twice, they ashamed all science fiction novel writers... We couldn't take risk of being late for a plane, so we retaliated back to the car. What a shame, as food consumed by some lucky customers, who probably been waiting there since early hours of the morning, looked really delicious. It seems like management foult not providing enough staff in the kitchen - when private party engages all your workforce you should really close the doors for anyone else. But we are willing to go back there, whenever possible to try that food! For now it's only two stars: that's the balance between pictoresque settings and forcing us to use McDonald's...

  Old family home

  This is an old country house once owned by the Von Richthoven family and is now being run and lovingly restored by the new owners There is the main property which has an old world charm and the annex, which has all mod cons, a second annex is under renovation It is out of town but near to the airport It is in its own grounds with a lake and play area for kids. I would deffinatley stay again if ever in the area

  Not 4* service

  My acommodation was in secondary building. Room was dark even if I turn on all lights. Room was indicated as non-smoking but the disgusting odour you cannot ventilate. Poor breakfast. In the first morning waitress asked me if I want something warm, the second morning not. I made agreement with lady on reception to prepare breakfast half an hour earlier because I must leave, she confirmed. When I came to breakfast room nothing was prepared... Never again.

  A bit dissapointed

  Spend one night before my flight next morning. Wanted to spend the night in a palace. I arrived in the evening 7pm. There were no other guests, just one family I saw. I didn't feel good beeing there alone. Staff was friendly but not giving me the "home" feel I'm affraid. They said hotel was not booked at all today. The venue is historical, beautifull palace with old style decorations. I wanted a dinner and staff was helpful about me beeing vegetarian, but my salad was old and brown at the ends, not crunchy at all. The 2 pieces of bread were very hard and cold despite beeing grilled. So that means bread was old as well. I eat half of my salad and in beetween my dinner a cat jumped into my lap!! During breakfast there was a cat walking on the tables where later guests were sitting and having breakfast. So it can be assumed the cats are in the kitchen as well. I lost my apetite and went to the airport hungry. I think 4* hotel should not tolerate cats in dining areas. So pregnant women be aware if your doctor adviced you to avoid cats (cat desease)! I was dissapointed because the hotel was not booked and they didn't offered me a bigger room or at least bigger bed. I know I paid for single room, but it would be a nice touch to give me better room. My bed was really small although single. Shower doors couldn't be closed and the room had a strong smell of some air difusor, very unpleasant. I think they tried to cover the smell off old carpets which should be cleaned by the way. At the check out no one asked me to give the keys back and I almost took them home:) For a 4* hotel costumer service is not what it should be. Although place is lovely, nature, peace I wouldn't go back again. And I had to wait for a taxi 20 minutes, the reason I booked this hotel is to be at the airport quicker. Big mistake...
