  Recommended!

  Nice little hotel not very far from the sea. Friendly staff. Room (with a little balcony) and bathroom OK, good bed. Hot water only when we told them that the shower was cold. (Obviously they had forgotten to switch on the boiler.) The breakfast is not very rich (they ask you to order yogurt, ham and cheese, if you like to eat it), but OK. WiFi. 62 for the double seems to be a fair price.

  Dinner not recommended.

  At first sight nice small hotel. Clean rooms, small bathroom, nice terrace. Although we weren't interested the owner would only let us book the room with halfboard. Breakfast was alright for Italian standards but unfortunately dinner was far below Italian standards. It lacked all the delicious flavours we have tasted so.far in Italy. It was extremely tasteless and all four courses were served cold. Not unlikely they were prepared in the afternoon. After complaining about it the owner seemed offended and instead of offering a solution he reacted unprofessionally. Eventually we came to a solution and gave us a small discount if not using dinner the other nights.

  Nice stay!

  We are a family of 4 persons and spent 2 nights in that hotel. Room has a fair size. Price is correct. Location is great as it is closed to the beach. Breakfeast is in line with the standard and coffee just great. The owner has been very helpfull specially to get a taxi ( taxidriver speaking only italian) and give him instruction to help us getting train ticket (we were in a hurry that morning). The ratio quality / price is very satisfactory. That hotel has bicycles and we used those to go to Paestum (approximatly 4 km from the hotel). We had a very pleasant ride. Would definatly recommand that hotel!

  Great time!!

  Pam and David. We recently spent 10 days at the Paistos Hotel, an experience we certainly intend to have again!! Being non drivers we arrived by regional train at Paestum station (approx. 4 miles away from the hotel) and were picked up by the owner. This initial thoughtfulness and courtesy continued throughout our stay. The staff were so friendly and ready to help in any way, but also not in your face. We borrowed the hotel bikes on a daily basis and cycled everywhere, often parking at the station and using the regional trains to get around - great stuff! The food at the hotel was enjoyable and reasonable, although we also ate in some of the very good local restaurants. The room was a reasonable size, but we had a fabulous large balcony where we spent many a happy hour in the evening before going out! We will go back - thank you to all at Paistos for a brilliant time!!
