  Reasonably good value

  If you've looked at the BnBs around, you'll see this is a reasonably good value. Large clean room and privacy for $100/night. If you're tired of tea cozies and doilies, this is a good option. The resort is quite big.

  Great vacation

  I stayed at Pacific Shores for 5 nights in Oct 2020. My room was clean and comfortable. I stayed in a King suite for most of my trip. The room was huge! Only negative-elevator wasn't working and the mattress was uncomfortable.

  Good place to spend the night

  We have a very nice room. Unfortunately, there was an old brown chair in the room as part of the lounge area. It was all torn and quite disgusting. Put me off. Why would they think it would be ok to leave it there. The little couch was ok nothing great. Had a large stain on it too. The rest of the room was very nice and very clean. The bathroom was nice, except the basin did not drain which wasn't great whilst brushing teeth. Also the ceiling light in the shower area was broken. Surely that is a quick fix? It's all called maintenance. They have a wonderful, truly wonderful swimming pool area though which was a big hit for me. Nice and clean. I cannot understand in this day and age why these places don't have walk in showers. These huge bath tubs are not good.

  Terrible.

  Dont stay here if you are looking for a relaxing getaway. The walls are paper thin. We were woken up at 4am with loud screaming and fighting below us. Adults running around outside intoxicated or high on drugs. We tried to call the afterhours number on the phone because the ordeal was quite scary only to find out the number was not in service. This place is definitely not relaxing nor enjoyable.

  More Than Meets The Eye

  Firstly we had an absolutely fabulous time here over the September long weekend- easily the highlight of our summer. Upon arrival admittedly I groaned. The buildings look a bit worn and our suite was definitely dated. However the suite was incredibly spacious and the kitchen well appointed. The beds were very comfortable. The grounds are spectacular. There are grassy areas to play on, trails to explore and a fantastic beach right out front. Most days we had the beach to ourselves. The beach isnt a sandy beach like in Parksville but there are many tidal pools to explore. The kids enjoyed the pool and the complimentary paddle board rentals too. There is so much value here if you can just look past the cosmetic imperfections. We will definitely be back :)
