  As expected

  I stayed here for one night on the way through. There was nothing wrong with the hotel, the room was clean and service was good. You do get what you pay for, so dont expect $400 per night hotel, when you only pay less than 50%. The hotel is really close to the restaurants and shops, it is really convenient. I would recommend the hotel for those looking for a short stay.

  Absolutely Very Rude horrible manager at Front Desk !!

  Book our Booking .com on Internet one hr before arriving at this Resort . When i booked i was looking for pet friendly Accomadation. which this site came up as PET FRIENDLY!! When we arrived my husband went straight to front desk to pay which he said for Two Nights $272 .40 Then mention to Reception Guy Pet friendly . Much to our surprise he said NOT HERE MATE ! OH NO ! MY WIFE BOOK THROUGH BOOKING .COM . He said only way you can have pets here if you Pay another $200 if the dogs (toy poodles) make mess or disturb other people here you will lose your Money! My reply was you just explained to me it Is NOT PET FRIENDLY !! SO WHY DO YOU WANT AN ADDITIONAL $200 ???? Contradict Himself !!! OUTCOME HE KEPT OUR MONEY & said i will refund One night only . Rude horrible Human Being .!!! I CERTAINLY WOULD NEVER STAY THERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

  No service or amenities including meals

  Booked in for two nights on 26/27 February 2020. $120 per night. Manager Chris requested payment via Amex prior to my arrival. Queried absence of meals, bar, breakfasts etc. Chris stated to go elsewhere if I was not happy. Had incident on plane from Melbourne to Brisbane whereby I injured my knee due to turbulence. Had to cancel one night & return to Melbourne on 27/02/20. No refund. Received an account for a $3.06 bottle of water. Complained to Chris. He stated company policy would no allow any refunds. Was prepared to accept refund for bottle of water. These premises advertise as a Hotel. They are nothing more than a sub standard motel.

  Major Problems for Guests in Wheelchairs

  The main reason for this low rating is on the basis of disability access. While booking and getting a wheelchair accessible room was fine, we didn't know until we arrived that the reception, indeed, ANY staff, finished at 2.00pm on Sunday. The problem was that the ONLY access in or out was via the fire escape! The lady who booked us in said that we only had to ring and she would come and open the front door for us, the inference being that she lived onsite. We told her that we would be out with friends, including dinner, until about 10.30pm. She assured us that it was fine and she would let us in. We arrived back at 9.45pm and rang the designated number but were informed that we had been forgotten and some family/friends would come and let us in. They arrived in two cars, after we waited for 25 minutes. When we went down the corridor to our room, the security doors between our room and the lobby were firmly locked. If there was a fire I would have had to get my wheelchair down 4 flights of stairs in the Fire Escape as the only possible exit. In the morning, we went to leave at 08.30 and discovered that we were trapped until that point. We rang the designated mobile number for the onsite manager to come and let us out - it took 30 mins and it was obvious that the minibus idling outside had just delivered her from some distance away! For a different perspective, the room was a reasonable size and the bed was comfortable. On the negative side there was only a commode chair over the toilet and a complete lack of other seating in the shower. It's pretty difficult for a wheelchair-bound guest to move a commode chair without wheels while sitting on it. Finally, some light fittings had no bulbs and an armchair had sponge rubber completely exposed on the armrests, as you would expect if you saw it at a kerbside collection...

  Oh dear, faded glory has faded further

  This hotel has really gone downhill since a previous visit. Barely a 2 star now. Bed was uncomfortable and really no other amenities. Proximity to Raby Bay restaurants and shopping really it's own reason. Avoid.
