A gem. Very spacious rooms in a cottage-like settingMy husband and I just loved this place! A very cute pink cottage hotel redone well inside and out. Clean and fresh. Bed-excellent. Staff-joyful people work here! Close to everything and practically in the monarch park.

Good location,ok accommodations.First, the things I liked about the inn were the location is close to just about anything in Pacific Grove and Monterey. Also close to the 17 mile drive entrance. Pavels bakery is one block down. The lobby area was nice to hang out and eat. The main beds seemed comfortable and had the old Victorian vibe. Now the not so great things. No elevator, which I understand being a converted inn. But going up and down 3 flights of stairs especially for older guests is challenging. The 3rd floor suite that has ocean views is right on the busy road and across from the PD. By 6 am it gets pretty loud with the single pane windows. The room with the single bed had a great view and a half bath. The pull out sleeper couch wasn't very large or comfortable. There were also ants from day 1 there. It was nice having 2 fireplaces but there was no place for anyone to watch tv or even eat a pastry. No table and no chairs. We ate mostly on the floor or standing. The decor and overall condition of everything was standard at best. No fridge or microwave in the room but downstairs lobby has one.

perfectHistoric Boutique Inn is the perfect description. While built in 1904 it has been restored and kept up. There's a common living room and dinning room, but with Covid nobody was using it. In hindsight I made the right decision to get "more expensive" room with a sitting room, which is perfect for Covid. The location is great because we walked everywhere. Many restaurants nearby and a bakery for breakfasts. We walked the coast one afternoon - a must. I had some problems with the online checkin, but it wasn't a problem when we called. Great service. Housekeeping was outstanding. This is our type of place and will stay again.

Our go-to lodging in PG!This is our family's go-to spot in Pacific Grove! We stay in the Deluxe Queen Suite which is a 3-room, 1.5 bathroom suite at the top floor of the Inn. It is amazingly affordable given 1) there's an ocean view, 2) the location is fantastic being in a quiet corner lot at the edge of downtown and a 10-min ish walk to Lover's Point beach and the amazing bike/running trail, 3) the space in this room in particular (haven't stayed in other rooms) is unbeatable -- a master bedroom and bath, a sitting room with a pullout couch that is perfect for our toddler, and what we call the kid's room with a twin bed and half bath. Plus, there are common areas that we use including a huge victorian style dining room, and living area with board games and a TV. There isn't a kitchen but guests can use the fridge and microwave. We like the contactless checkin - you're given a key code for the entry door and your room door and never have to interact with anyone, but they're available by phone if you need anything. Parking is free and easy. We love this charming Inn and have recommended it to many others over the past year when we first discovered it!

Would not stay here againSo, we paid for an "executive room". Did not get the description advertised on Travelocity. Okay. Let's just deal with that. That said, the smell of the place was over whelming. It was extremely "musty". I understand that this place is very old but the smell is "so bad". My husband, who is a general building contractor, says this could have been mitigated by a strong air filtration system. They are not doing that. That said, I would not stay here again.I was so uneasy about the smell that I insisted we turn off the heat at night because I was scared about carbon monoxide poisoning. I do not in any way want to diss a reputable place but when your hotel smells as bad as it does, I wonder what else could be going on. I did not sleep well at night. The pluses- it was very clean. It also has a nice peak ocean view. It is also well located to the ocean and restaurants. The check in was seamless.
