  In state of disrepair for the greater portion

  We picked this hotel because it was the closest to the airport and on the Qantas website - wrong on both counts. Staff were very friendly and our shuttle drive was excellent Then where to start - our water view suite included free of charge views of decaying port works, a security light beaming into your room all night and a bed and linen which where istallled when the hotel was built and that wasnt yesterday. The bay view restaurant was closed and access to the next level restaurant was via again a set of original stairs which could be best described as trickly for any one with some age or mobility issues.

  Top visit

  Resort was first class. Rooms clean and well equipped. Staff friendly and helpful. Grounds clean and well appointed. Pool available. Some entertainment each night including native dancers . Did not visit the casino.

  best hotel so far

  the best hotel I've ever been to so far! great customer services that will help in anyway possible! the bar is situated close to the pool and its has a nice view for the sunset! not to mention, live band. so nice

  New look for the New lookers

  Having come through 2 riots and destructions , PCH now renovations has put itself a place to be, the new gym, poolside, canoe bar and skylight area for occasions. It is a place to be for travellers wanting to stay at one place with everything you want around. come and see

  Renovations required!

  By hotel standards internationally, this place is wildly over priced. Old rooms, not overly clean. Only one restaurant operating during my stay, meal choices were limited and arrived at table cold. Curious how far away the kitchen is from the dining room. Security/porter walked me to my room and seemed to begrudge having to do so. Safety issues were a concern when I saw how many security staff were present. Room door didnt lock properly, it looked like it had been forcefully opened too many times. Solid metal bars on window. Still not thrilled with the amount of drunken people who tried to get into my room throughout the night, big party scene for locals, and a bit of a rough environment to be honest. Reception staff weren't particularly helpful or friendly. They even seemed to be put out when I asked any questions. I would not recommend this hotel if you're looking for an actual hotel (by international standards). But this is Honiara, you're going to pay way too much no matter where you stay. I would suggest avoiding Honiara all together unless you have to stop over on the way to somewhere else. Hopefully this hotel has scheduled some massive renovations and that's why they charge so much. End on a positive note: Caesar the hotel airport shuttle driver was awesome. Friendly and informative, whatever you're paying him is not enough.
