  ¡De capa caída!

  Se suponía que era un hotel de cinco estrellas pero más bien parecía uno de tres. Reservé habitación para dos adultos y un niño... ¡Y no había ninguna cama extra en la habitación! El dispositivo electrónico de llaves no funcionaba y el ordenador se estropeó. Les pedí que nos cambiasen de habitación cuando intentaron colocar un plegatín en una habitación pequeñita ya de por sí bastante llena de cosas. No me atendieron el teléfono el recepción. Tuve que llamar al restaurante para que me pasaran con recepción. Al regresar a la nueva habitación nos encontramos con que no nos habían subido las maletas ni nos habían colocado otra cama como habíamos pedido... ¡A esperar otra vez! El barato mobiliario de pino estaba pasado de moda y la televisión tenía muy mala cobertura. No daban botellas de agua como se anunciaba, el papel higiénico era de lo más barato del mundo y encima el soporte del mismo estaba roto en el pequeño cuarto de baño. Las servilletas que nos trajeron con la bandeja del desayuno estaban manchadas. El personal estuvo normalito pero no había suficientes empleados para hacerse cargo de todo. La piscina no funcionaba. Como íbamos con nuestro hijo, había sido la razón principal para elegir el hotel. En resumen... ¡No nos salió barato pero debería haberlo sido!

  Un buen hotel

  Por motivos de negocio tuve que visitar Leeds recientemente. Se trata de un buen hotel, una típica casa victoriana - cottage en medio de la "campiña" británica. Las habitaciones son amplias, muy limpias, con un baño en las mismas condiciones. Echo de menos que no tuviera minibar, aunque no es "mandatory" para mi. El personal de recepción es amable y diligente. El restaurante bueno, aunque posiblemente un poco caro (o en linea con los precios en Inglaterra...). Recomendable tomar el confit de pato. Hacía frío en la habitación, y en recepción lo solucionaron, gracias, trayéndome un calefactor portátil. Me gustó.

  Tier 3

  Stayed here for 3 nights whilst working in Featherstone. The area was in tier 3 so the restaurant was closed. The choice of food for evening meals was good as well as the room service. Had to leave the hotel at 6.30am each to travel to Featherstone so was provided with a breakfast box, which was very substantial . On the check out day as I was leaving early I left an expensive piece of kit in the room . Realised as soon as I got to work , phoned the hotel reception they went to check the room phoned me back within 5 minutes and left it in reception for me to pick up later . Looks like I will be travelling to Featherstone a lot more in the near future as well as other colleagues so have already recommended it to work. Look forward to staying there again soon .

  Had a few issues but resolved

  Hotel looked impressive from the outside and at reception, although a bit too dark in the car park. Receptionist was polite. Room was of a decent size but it was freezing although the radiator was on. I went to reception to ask for a portable heater but they questioned me first if I had turned the heater on and up! Yes I did and it had been on for a couple of hours and the room was still cold. Receptionist told me she did not know if there was any portable heaters but she would arrange for maintenance to check. Interestingly I did see a portable heater at the far end of the corridor on my floor when I went downstairs to reception so not sure why she said there might not be any, especially the hotel was not full. When I was on my way back to my room, the maintenance person was already waiting for me outside my door which I thought was impressive. He came into the room and went straight to check the radiator (!) and said he would go find if there was a portable heater - within minutes he came back with the heater. Whilst I was impressed at the speed, unfortunately the portable heater was not giving out much heat so I ended up cold for the two nights. It was only in the morning I realised that the door lock did not work so effectively I slept in my room without the door being locked. On my way out I reported it to reception and was told theyd fix it. However, on my return in the evening I noticed that the door lock was still not working so I had to go back to reception to report it but by this time I was just annoyed knowing that the door had not been locked at all, and also when I was asked what my room number was! So it was clear to me that the issue had not been communicated. Manager was very apologetic and told me they would send someone to check it straight away. The maintenance person showed up quite quickly and did manage to make the repairs. Although I was not happy with what happened during my stay, the receptionist (difference person from previously) did apologise as soon as I arrived at reception to check out, and a compensation was then given (although only after I had made additional comments). Based on how quickly and willingly the management team dealt with my complaints, I would use this hotel again in future as customer service is also very important. I do have to mention that the bath was not as clean as it should be. There was a round stain where the bath mat was stood on at the corner of the bathtub. We have been in the 3rd lockdown and there have been plenty opportunities to deep clean the rooms more than once! So was quite disappointed by this. One thing I thought was funny was that the breakfast bag menu listed freshly squeezed orange juice but it was just the UHT juice box.

  Amazing trip!

  Me and my golf team all stayed with you at Oulton Hall, it was amazing, the golf course was brilliant and we really enjoyed ourselves, just a shame I didnt win :( Elliot checked us all in with a great smile and was very helpful with all my questions, he knew all about the restaurant bookings and sorted the team out with a quick check in. What a great restaurant you guys have! Catered for us all with perfect timing! Just a shame we could not all sit at one table rather than social distancing but I know what thats nothing to do with you! After food we had some drinks in the main bit of the hotel next to the piano and the sofa where I sat was very comfortable! Elliot opened opened the bottles later on when the bar had shut as we didnt have a bottle opener and also he helped us get to bed as we had a few to many to drink so needed helping get to our rooms! Overall it was absolutely amazing, a great time and looking forward to coming again!!!
