  Friendly place to stay

  After receiving unfriendly service and attitudes in a lot of Italy's hotels, Victor's was a welcome breath of fresh air. Very friendly manager, clean and tidy rooms, peaceful area. We enjoyed our stay here, value for money, and reasonably close to town. We left our passports in our room, and Victor kindly posted them on to our next destination free of charge. THANKS VICTOR, MUCH APPRECIATED - YOU'RE THE BES!!!!!

  Just reasonable

  The breakfast is reasonable, but complete. Rooms are reasonable, but we can ear everything on the other side of the wall, even the snoring of the guests, there is no air conditioned and the rooms are very hot. If you're thinking of opening the windows in the night, don't do it., you'll be atacked by the mosquitos. The only thing above reasonable is the pool, it's clean with a nice surrounding area. But be attention, is not for "free", you are obliged to buy head cap to use in the pool. Aparently is frequently visited by groups of youths, when that happens, is impossible to use the pool with so many people.

  Bueno!

  Es un hostel bueno, una atención muy amable, un desayuno bastante completo. Las habitaciones lo único malo es que se escuchaba bastante ruidos, pero más allá de eso para pasar una noche en esta ciudad es más que recomendable!

  "You want to use the pool?

  The place was clean, the rooms were very nice, the beds were comfortable. Showers were good. Although the room had a new looking AC units the owner said that they did not work. It was hot and dry weather during our visit. Although the place had a good looking swimming pool, when I asked about using it. YOU WANT TO USE THE POOL? was his rhetorical response. We were not very welcomed and did not use the pool. During our two night stay there was a teenage group that came in. Approximately 45-50 mid teens. They ran the halls laughing, opening and loudly shutting room doors each night till after midnight hours. The owners and group leaders passively allowed this. We had observed the owner smiling and pleasantly interacting with the group during our comings and goings. If you want a cheap place to stay this is ok but consider your taxi costs into your equation. The taxi from the train station was about 24 euros each way. I walked it and hitchhiked to go back to the train station and make reservations for our departure about an hour walk. It is also about a hour and half up hill but VERY picturesque country walk up to the old walled city of Assisi. When I booked the room at Victor center I did not realize that it actually was in the next town south. But overall it was very nice! It was safe! The owners did our laundry for us while we were there. I was very disappointed with the male owners rudeness. His favorite English was "not my problem" :)

  Great finding!

  We came by this place by chance! We were arriving to Asisi by car and have no idea where to stay until we find the Osteria Victor Center. It's a lovely place to stay. They have breakfast and dinner, which was great as we were very tired. The owners of the place were very friendly, always making sure that we had everything that we needed. I got the feeling that's an Osteroa that's frequented by Italian, which we loved! It's almost 6km from Asisi so it's not a very good option if you're not with a car but if you are and you're not looking for something too fancy, this is the place. I would totally recommend it. The owners make the difference!
