    Beautiful Home

We stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting the Hamilton area and enjoyed this beautiful home that has been wonderfully restored and cared for. Our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were quite amazing and I appreciated their willingness to accommodate being gluten free!

    Treated like royalty!

Osler House is a gorgeous luxurious B&B that Gary and his wife have clearly spent much time curating - everything from the food to the sheets on the bed! (My wife and I both said that the sheets were the softest we'd slept in!) There was bubbly in the room when we arrived, sherry, and two pieces of very fresh carrot cake - the latter because our hosts new we would be arriving after dinner and might want a snack. The room was full of antique furniture pieces but there was still in floor heating in the bathroom. Breakfast was planned with each of our dietary needs in mind - we had avocado toast - one with bacon and one without. Gary hosted us very well, thinking of all our needs and clearly wanting us to feel well taken care of. We would definitely love to stay again, and next time more than one night!

Lots of antiques, friendly host, and no shoes

As mentioned in most of the reviews, Osler House is an extremely well-maintained historical house, filled with antique furniture and and decorative items. The host was gracious and very responsive to our requests. Interestingly, there is a "no shoes" policy, and guests must remove their shows in a very small foyer before entering the house itself. Slippers are provided, but there is no place to sit down to change from street shoes into slippers. This is fine if one is wearing slip-on shoes, but very uncomfortable for someone in boots or laced shoes. I really think the host should (1) warn guests in advance of this policy (they might want to bring their own slippers instead of wearing those worn by previous guests) and (2) provide a chair to sit in while changing into the slippers. As mentioned, there is a lot of antique and period furniture; in fact, we thought our room was overly crowded with furniture as well as decorative items, making it a bit difficult to move around or find a place to set things down.

    Beautiful home, welcoming hosts

We enjoyed a lovely weekend at Osler House over Family Day weekend. Our host Gary was gracious and warm, meeting us upon arrival. There is a small foyer for guests to remove shoes with slippers provided. It might be helpful in the future if a stool was provided for those with balance issues. The house is stunning, filled with many antiques. We stayed in the opulent and cheerful Britton Bath Osler room. The room has beautiful, large windows, high ceilings, very comfortable bedding, even a crystal decanter with sherry. The en suite has a marble-tiled shower with heated floors and plush towels. A mini fridge, kettle and Keurig is also provided in the suite. The breakfasts were excellent. On the first day we had eggs Benedict, the second day was poached eggs on avocado toast. Fresh fruit, scones, croissants, marmalade, jam, etc., were all provided in a beautiful dining room complete with silver service. The only negative comment I would make is that the sofas in both the living room and parlor have serious upholstery issues. This is hidden well with throw pillows, but if one sits on these couches, exposed padding is visible in many places. We enjoyed playing billiards in a delightful room with antique books, many of them about Dr. Osler and his contributions to the medical field. All in all, I'd highly recommend Osler House to any couple looking for a romantic get-a-way in the Hamilton area.

    Awesome experience!

My sister and I stayed at the Osler house right before the conoravisus quaranties went into effect. I loved it! The atmosphere was so different from the usual hotels we stayed at. The historic style was so comfortable and welcoming. Our room was decked out with great period amenities, like a full service tea set, along with modern conveniences. The hosts were great, knowledgeable, but not nosy and extremely accomodating. And breakfasts were spectacular! I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
