Beautiful location but seen better days. Needs a revamp.Room was very basic for the price. £90 for a B&B I think is on the expensive side. We travel a lot with my husband's work. Also didn't include breakfast this is £15.00 each!!!! The bed!!!! I've slept on comfier floors! I tossed and turned all night! Finally got to sleep but walls are so thin we heard coughing from the next room! No shower, just a hose off taps so sit down shower it was. Tv remote didn't work so manually had to change channel and volume. No spoon for tea making facilities Dusty dated furnishing All mis matched. Poor decorating and upkeep. Real shame as from the outside it is stunning. Not the most welcoming of rooms. All so basic and dated. The owner could make this a lot nicer and for the prices charged I think this is priority to help improve the service and rating.

Location good but that is about itFrom the outside, the b&b looks nice but other than that its poor. We stayed in room 3 and for £89 a night Id expect a lot more. The room is small, the bathroom was filthy and the bed was rock hard. I also wouldnt expect to pay £8.50 pp for breakfast at a b&b. We went to the Highway Man down the road for breakfast which was great! Also cost £13 for both of us! Luckily we had family members staying close by so for our second morning we showered there as my partner couldnt physically stand up in the bath...to hose himself down as there was no stand up shower. I wouldnt recommend staying here to be honest.

One night stay onlyThe guest house looked lovely from the outside but the inside is not impressive. The room was ok but the bed not comfortable. There was no hair dryer in the room but we found one on the first floor landing. One mirror in the bathroom. No cupboard to hang anything just a clothes rail. At £108 for a family room this was overpriced and not to be recommended.

Great location, great Bed and Breakfast.Orillia House is in a beautiful location and close to all the tourist spots we needed for York and Yorkshire areas nearby like Knaresborough and Harrogate. The property was well decorated, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was wonderful and welcome. Gary was the perfect host. Next time we travel we will try their lovely cottages. Paul Davies

lovely B&B worth the visit and defo worth the moneyLovely quaint little b&b on the outskirts of york ,stayed in double room on the top floor ,which actually wa more than room it was a little self contained apartment fully kitted out in everything you could possibly need for at least a weeks stay ,the vies out the roof windows were stunning ,a beautiful church surrounded by the morning mist with the sun just breaking was the perfect photo opportunity if only we had our camera ,the only downfall on this room was not the B&B but the people staying in the room next door who had not conscious about the noise they made when coming home from a night on the town .a sound proofed door as it was an adjoining room would make this place ideal
