  Could go again

  Stayed with my husband for 4 nights. I think the breakfast was nice and there were plenty of options to choose from. Especially loved the freshly made omelets. The room was okay but the room service was excellent. The food we ordered was really good. Overall the service we received was good. There is a gym, but it's only for male. They should arrange something for women too. I would recommend if you want to stay in a decent bugdet priced hotel with a good location.

  Bad experience

  Unfortunately, this hotel with a little changes can improve its situation , but in my opinion I will give (fair) as evaluation. Not cooperatives staff , bad wifi , one left working, save-box down, bad smell comes from bathroom. A lot of working around. I will be franc about its reasonable price. I will not get in again.

  AVOID THIS HOTEL LIKE A PLAGUE

  Star Hotel (MY FOOT) Location: On King Abdul Aziz Road Access: Horrible due to metro construction, which is expected to continue for another 5 years. Hopefully by then this awful hotel will close. Check-In: Very slow and the reception/ front office just doesnt care. What do you expect when you have frustrated Egyptian staff on the rolls? Room: Extremely small, well done though. Bathroom: Stinking foul. No exhaust fan and shower curtains on bath tub. Water all over if you dare to use it. Housekeeping: They just dont bother to clean the room even after you leave the clean my room tag on the door the whole day. Even after informing the reception, they just dont care. The housekeeping are so rude, you would want to spit on their face. Restaurant: They just RIP YOU OFF and serve junk. I ordered an Arabic Sandwich and these thieves served just plain Arabic bread with a mayonnaise spread. Dont even try eating here. Wi-Fi: They say free wifi, But never worked even after repeated complaints Check-Out: The only thing that was handled smooth. BECAUSE THEY ARE HAPPY TO THROW YOU OUT. Alternate: Try Al Mutlaq hotel next door, its a better bet.

  Uhm..?

  Well this hotel was just interesting.. It definitely needs improvement in ALL Areas, My mum and I strayed here for about a week.. When we walked into the room, i knew this was going to be a bad experience because right in the entrance of the room was a garbage bag that hadn't been taken out.. moving on.. The room was okay, nothing to complain about really just that there was a very bad sort of a sewage smell every now and then.. I don't even know why we didn't request to change rooms.. They are not very up to scratch with housekeeping because as i was having a look around in the bathroom, i came across a pack of cigarettes which was most probably left by a previous guest.. The best part was that we always had a problem with housekeeping because they'd give us 1 bath towel and we were 2 adults! I don't think a hotel should at all be stingy with towels, should they..? It just wasn't a very peaceful or relaxing experience.. the only thing that made up for all of this was that they serve an amazing breakfast, their coffee and other hot drinks are really good, really hits the spot and of course the variety of things to eat which was good overall.. Ask me to recommend this hotel to anyone? probably not..

  Wonderful Experience

  The reviews I read about Orchid Al Mansour Hotel were not that good, however, I am more familiar with the area where it is located so I decided to book a room here. The receptionist on duty seems like a trainee but there was the manager, Mr. Osama, who pitched in so everything went smoothly with the check-in procedure. I was assigned to room no. 414 which is spacious enough and has a window facing the street and the Royal Saudi Air Force Officers' Club. The beds were comfortable. There was a bathtub at bathroom which gave me the opportunity to collect water to cool off before bathing since the water coming from the faucet was really very hot. The breakfast was served inside the room because it was still Ramadan, otherwise, the buffet could have been great. For the price I paid I consider this good value for money. Highly recommended.
