Disgusting - avoid at all costs!

We booked this hotel as a last resort, as all of the other budget hotels in the Legian/Kuta area were full, due to it being peak season. It was listed on the STA travel website, and as we've used them a number of times to book hotels, expected it to be of a reasonable standard. It is a budget hotel, so we weren't expecting it to be the Hilton just clean and basic. Unfortunately, that was far from the case. The reception area was ok, if a little bit old. The room however was something else! We were shown to our room by a member of staff, and the first thing he did was flush the toilet in the bathroom. God knows what treats had been left in there! The bathroom itself was vile, with dirt and mould up the wall and some unidentified gunk festering in the sink - it clearly hadnt been cleaned before we arrived. The wall facing us as we walked in was covered top to bottom in mould, and the floors were dirty. All of the electrical fittings were exposed with wires everywhere, and the main light in the room was flashing on and off, creating a strobe effect. When we asked for it to be fixed the member of staff just told us to keep it switched off, which I guess solved the problem, in a way. There were no towels in the room, and when we asked for some they were damp. When we were about to leave to find another hotel my girlfriend said, well at least there arent any cockroaches. As I picked up my bag, though, one of the little critters went scurrying across the floor. That was definitely the icing on the cake. As we checked out, having only checked in 15 minutes earlier, we explained why were leaving. The receptionist did not seem surprised. Weve complained to STA and asked them to remove the hotel from their website, however if you are in a position where youre considering this hotel, DONT! Spend the extra money and go somewhere else, itll definitely be worth it.

wide hotel area with a wide pool

this hotel have a poor lobby area. it looks dark and old. but don't worry, after you go in to the room, their are more clean and bright. the room itself is spacious, with a bathtub bathrom. a balcony heading to the pool at front of every room is a plus. i like the pool. its big, but it's dark at night, so kind of scary swimming at night. my room 201 have a broken shower, and the house keeping can not fix it (i disappoint with this one) location itself actually is in the city center of denpasar. but its kind of hard to get anywhere from this hotel by foot. Happy with: 1. Room clean and wide 2. Bath tub and strong hot/cold water 3. tv channel complete 4. Swimming pool and park 5. nice balcony Need to impove: 1. add more lights around the pool 2. put wi-fi 3. renovate the lobby area (too ancient) 4. small tv (CRT 14")

    Misled and not happy!

I book all of my accommodation through Agoda. I searched for a reasonably priced hotel to stay with a friend (separate rooms) for two nights in Sanur, Bali. We wanted to be in the heart of Sanur and within walking distance of anything that was worth seeing. We like to walk. Agoda listed this hotel, the Oranjje as Jl. Hayam Wuruk No200, Sanur. Perfect! so we made the booking. On the way to the hotel our driver said "Sanur?? This is not Sanur this Denpasar!". As it turned out the driver was correct. The hotel is not in SANUR AS LISTED BY AGODA. It is in Renon, a suburb of Denpasar and a 15 minute taxi drive from Sanur. We were hijacked with false and misleading information. I still have and will keep the AGODA receipt for payment showing this hotel as "Sanur". Either the hotel or Agoda cheated on this booking and my friend and I are not the least bit happy. When we arrived at the hotel things got worse. They had out booking but could not provide the rooms!!!! They offered to send us to yet another hotel a further kilometer away! Oh it's getting better. After a heated discussion with my travel partner, the conceirge agreed to find us two rooms as had been booked several months before. Let me say this in defence of the hotel. I do not know who stuffed up. The address was clearly wrong and the booking was messed up. Apart from that, the hotel, its staff, facilities, pool, etc are very nice. If you are looking for a nice, not too expensive place to stay in the middle of nowhere in Denpasar, this will be perfect for you. Oh! I forgot to add that there are no shops, 24/7 or anything else within coooeeee of the place so if you need anything, you will need a taxi to get you there. It is really isolated. Good luck to you if you stay there! Shame on AGODA for misrepresenting the location.

    No swimming pool!

The place was a sham. We booked the place because of its reasonable pricing and swimming pool but the pool had thick green water in it and you could see it has not been in use for a while.. This was not mentioned in booking.com... We didn't stay!

    Not recommended

Didn't like it at all. The wash basin is out of the washroom. Washroom is very small. The garbage can easily be seen at the backside. The swimming pool has broken tiles which can make your feet injured. Cleanliness is an issue both in room and restaurant. The reception and restaurant does not have air conditioning and the weather of Denpasar was very hot when we visited. The view around swimming pool is good for photography.
