  Friendly, clean and secure hotel

  Stayed here in the week of the Super Cup Final, so accomodation was at a premium and starting to sell out by the time I booked. Prices had already increased significantly across all hotels. I paid the equivalent of around 300 for four nights, including breakfast and an evening meal on my final night which, unfortunately, I wasn't able to benefit from due to an early departure. Outside of such a busy week I would expect rates to be lower but with demand so high I thought this was a reasonable rate for the hotel/room. Although a little bit further out of the centre than I would ideally have liked, this hotel proved to be a good choice. It took about 20 minutes to walk to the centre. This was at a fairly leisurely pace - temperatures were hovering around 40° (due to the Europe-wide* heat wave), so everything was at a slow pace. A taxi, of which there are many and which are very inexpensive (a few Euros), would take about 5 minutes or so, but I was happy to walk. I had a very clean, spacious and secure room. The cleaning every day was excellent. The room I had also came with a kitchen area, though as meals out are relatively inexpensive I didn't have cause to use it. The fridge came in handy though! A really efficient air conditioning unit was essential in this heat, which fortunately my room had. There was also a small balcony and a TV with several English channels (Sky News included, but no other mainstream UK channels I could see from what little I used it). The reception team were friendly and efficient, providing a very good service. I requested airport transfers both ways (late night arrival and very early morning departure). The price was 20 each way, which was just added to my hotel bill. Although this may seem a bit pricey compared to other taxi fares you might pay in Skopje, it is the going rate for this service and, in my view, worth it. On arrival I was met by a driver who had my name on a card and in the way back the taxi turned up dead-on 3am, as booked. No need to worry about travel arrangements. One thing to note is that although hotels and other places may quote prices in Euros, these typically then get converted to the local currency (Denar) for payment. You can't get Denar outside of Macedonia - I just used ATMs and took out cash as needed so as not to be left with currency you can't then change back. To be on the safe side I used a Fairfx everywhere currency card (other makes available!), but I expect most bank cards will be fine. I just thought with it being somewhere "unusual" I'd rather use a card that is specifically designed with travellers in mind. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel and I very much enjoyed my stay. *Excluding the UK, inevitably....

  Cute hotel with great breakfast

  We stayed at this hotel as part of a tour. It's outside the city centre. The hotel itself is clean and the room we had was a reasonable size. The balcony was quite large and the bathroom a decent size. The shower was a good size. The breakfast and dinner was very good.

  Close to everything!

  Nice clean hotel, perfect size room, lovely shower, all comforts, and the breakfast buffet is great too. Good parking and close to buses etc or a good walk to city. Most of all the staff and friendly and helpful!! Very economical and great place to stay!!

  Comfortable hotel outside old city centre - 20 minutes walk

  This hotel is located about 20 minutes walk from the old city centre. It is a comfortable hotel for a short city visit. Rooms are adequate but not large with some manoeuvring to get around. Small balcony shared with aircon units. Bathroom was over bath triangular (jacuzzi style) with no curtain although shape helps to minimise spray on floor. Breakfast buffet was reasonable and more than adequate.

  Comfortable, bit of a walk into town , helpful staff

  Had a good stay , staff were helpful Breakfast was reasonably good Walk into town was about 20 mins , you may to look for something closer to town (but more expensive) if this is an issue Recommended as budget accommodation
