  Dissatisfied

  Overnight getaway with teenage daughter. The entire 6 hour experience was beyond disappointing. Even worse was their response to my written complaint - no response in writing, no apology offered. A refund of our accommodation was advised verbally, after I had made several phone calls to speak with the front office manager. In addition to the room being filthy, the meals in their restaurant were inedible. Made worse by the over an hour wait for our meals. Book snd stay at your own risk.

  Tad Disappointed

  My partner and I stayed here for the night lastnight and I had booked it for our anniversary and i had asked for a room with Ocean views and a spa bath and maybe some rose petals somewhere in the room for decoration which I don't even think must have gone through to them since all we got was a room with Partial ocean views,No spa bath.I thought I would get what I specifically asked and payed for (I had gone to reception to ask about this and was told all they had left was the same room but on the side facing the car park as they were fully booked.,for nearly $200 for the night plus $100 security deposit (which was refunded when we checked out).Also the shower is quite small and you can only turn the cold tap twice till it stops and can't be adjusted anymore than that.Also the beds aren't very comfortable.The only thing I enjoyed about the place was the cocktail bar.Wouldnt stay here again.

  Overnight stay

  I stayed overnight in an ocean view room. Apparently they have done up the rooms except the bathrooms at this stage. Very average sorry. I do relise due to the lack of visitors the money is not readily available but this sad old resort needs a lot of love. The staff were very nice so this was appreciated. The sad reality is i still have 5 nights in credit and due to the non refund policy when civid hi we have to return. Lets hope someone reads this and spruces this place up. The bed was also very uncomfortable.

  Bit tired and run down but for the price and position, atleast 4 stars

  Have a soft spot for this place. Been coming for yrs as half way stop over between Central Coast NSW and QLD. Has all we need for a stop over. Easy parking, beach front, gym, bar etc. Restaurant quite nice too. Cold Asahis on tap. On this occasion wedding guests kept us up all night. Inconsiderate A.Hs. Staff were patient and lovely. Copping alot of criticism on very busy weekend. All lovely except woman in restaurant who death stared me when I asked for an ice bucket. Put a bees dick amount in plastic bag and when I asked for more said "You know you have a fridge". Besides that's I do love Opal Cove and I went on slide regardless of kids only sign. It is always fun.

  Mouldy and unpleasant!

  Very disappointing stay, unpleasant staff, unloading is painful while you and whist away to a distant car park! 10 day turn around on a $100 holding fee while they also have your credit card details! Make sure you pack your thongs as there is mould all through the bathroom, far from clean, an old hair tie from a previous guest! This place is screaming to be updated!! Or just a good scrub! Extremely uncomfortable beds! My back has never been so sore! I will be sure to let friends and family know about our disappointing stay!
