  First time to stay in a family owned homestay in Chiangmai. It was cozy, warm, helpful and peaceful. It's all as expected to have a special stay in a wonderful place. With the family treat, homemade breakfast, clean room so what else you need. Try it and you will feel what is the meaning of "Ob-oon" (warm).

  The true meaning of Homestay in Chiangmai city. highly recommend to everyone

  I visited Oob-oon with my friends in March 2016 and I can truly say that this is the best home stay that I have ever stayed in Thailand. At first I expected that Oob-oon would be just like the other home stay in Thailand but turned out that I was wrong. It is beyond my expectation. When we first arrived, there was no other guest, thus the owner allowed us to choose any room that we want. Talking about the decoration as space, it is well-decorated and furnished in Vintage style that is no cliche like many other places. As the owner himself is the designer, many work piece and furniture are created by him. Here, you can borrow the bicycle from the owner to bike around Chiangmai for free !!. And the owner himself even invited us to bike with him to Doi Suthep in the morning The best part here is the hospitality of the host. His family is not like normal owner but he treats you like you are their friend. He even bought us the famous snack of Chiangmai to try !! and gave us a free cake to try out their new recipe To sum up, I would say this is a Home-away-from-home home stay experience. I love every seconds here since the moment I arrived. The host is kind and has a big heart. You can enjoy the chill-out space around the house and enjoy super Yum food from the home cooking. This will be my 2nd home in Chiangmai from now on

  Excellent homestay with very lovely people

  I am pleasantly surprised by the thoughtfulness of Ob-oon Homestay  owners Tap and his wife, he is very humble, patience, helpful and friendly owner Its truely a "home" stay with wonderful hospitality, excellent place, , authentic Thai food, loving hosts, rooms are clean , wifi working perfectly Tap also helped us to locate a driver for station drop off, motorbike was ready on arrival Its perfect to say Home Away from Home, we enjoyed the delicious local food cook by Tap , This is a place where you can truly spend time enjoying peace and quiet. 15mins by taxi from Chiangmai airport and easy access to old town by motorbike or car and away from the busy street in town. Thank you for the lovely stayed. Can't wait to come back and visit you and enjoy your lovely home :)

  Absolutely blissful place to stay

  Ob-Oon is so beautiful with lovely details all around. Everybody is welcomed warmly. All the rooms are different and the place has a lovely atmosphere. I keep on returning here, this my 4th stay here. I absolutely love this beautiful place!

  My new home in Chiang Mai!

  Oob-oon Homestay is a REAL home. The house is so beautiful, no words to describe: full of art pieces, vintage decoration, sweet, cozy, lovely and so homely. Tap and Nui (prepares yummy breakfast) are such great hosts. Everything is peaceful and smooth in this house. Tap is such a nice person, offering his bikes (he even gave me his own bike for our morning biking tour - that was so thoughtful), trekking and showing me the area, preparing delicious smoothies (never had best smoothies ever!). I felt very much I was at home here. I strongly recommend this place if you are looking to be close but away the city center crowdiness. Go for it!
