Always comfortable and cleanWe first stayed here in 2010, and have returned two or three times each year since then. In that time, we've been accommodated in at least five different rooms, and each has been comfortable and spotlessly clean. Prices are very reasonable and the staff are friendly and helpful. We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. The location is far enough out of the city centre to be quiet at night, yet within walking distance (around 35 minutes). There are good transport links nearby for those who prefer bus or train. Also a very handy location if visiting Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

Not Good ExperienceI'm writing on behalf of my daughter who booked a room a stayed over Friday 6th/ Sat 7th. She had booked this room with her partner. During the course of the evening a incident occurred that resulted in my daughter being locked out of the room, upset and in tears. She called us at home (we are 200 miles away) very upset and not knowing what to do, this was about 3am in the morning. I advised her to go to reception to see if anyone was about who cold offer assistance, but she told me when she got there there wasn't anyone there and the front door of the building was wide open therefore not secure. She rang the call bell several times and no-one came. With this going on for quite a while I rang the hotel number (several times) but nobody answered, although I could hear the phone ringing through my daughters telephone. Eventually she told me a man came down from upstairs, walked passed her not saying anything and went behind the reception desk for a while, still whilst not acknowledging she was there and after a while he came out from reception and went back upstairs, passed my daughter, still not noting she was there. She said to me that he took the telephone with him upstairs. With this in mind, I called the hotel number, on the second time a very Mr Angry person answered who subjected me to the biggest amount of verbal abuse I've had for a long while. For instance, 'are you taking the p*** pal, who do you think you are etc etc..... all the while thinking i was called Tom(?) After a while of trying to put my point across and the man not listening to a word I had to say he told me the 'F-off' and then hung up on me! If this person is employed by this hotel then I suggest he needs a good lesson on customer care to include the duty of care to the hotel guests. On this occasion it included a woman who was visibly upset, scared and vulnerable - Shame on you. Due to not been able to source another room here or at any other hotel in Glasgow at that time of night my daughter ended up sleeping in the car.....

honest reveiw - travelled from nuneaton - 5 hours awaycurrently here, never visited scotland & this place seems to do the job, for a roof over our head, shower & toilet facilities are quite nice in our room, secure car park, spacy family / double rooms and a bargain at the price. only downer, bit colder on the first floor compared to ground floor even with the heating on.
