  Excellent onsen experience and stay

  We were here before year end and was kind of late on booking a room in Yufu area, so lucky still find Onjuku Yagura to have a room with in room onsen bath available. The "in room" is in fact a uncovered bath overviewing the Yufu area, view was great, and so we bathed in the afternoon and at night and in the next morning. The stay came with dinner and breakfast and both are great. Staffs are also very helpful but know how to disapear to ensure privacy for the guests. Unfortunately we only stayed for one night so we don't have a chance to try the public onseb bath just outside the entrance.

  Nice Japanese Style Onsen Resort

  There's a living room and bedroom with 2 western single beds. It equip with open-air hot spring pool in the room. The only thing which not so satifiy that the shower place also located outdoor, it's quite cold when you shower at night. Dinner: BBQ beef, chicken and some vegetables, sashimi, tofu. Although it's not so many dishes, the portion is fair enough base on their price. Staff service is very good, i asked to borrow a traveler adaptor, but due to the communication(language) problem, they are very patient and don't mind to back and forth to bring me some cables, and finally they can give me a adaptor after explain difficulty. We found that most of visitors are local Japanese without any other foreigners during our stay.
